Takeaways from #AZCardinals HC Mike LaFleur ahead of his first camp practice:

- Paris Johnson Jr. “honestly nothing, just maintaince stuff” and said same thing with Josh Sweat landing on PUP. Said knees for both.

- They’re gonna be smart with James Conner/Trey Benson/Walter Nolen III with their returns.

- “still ongoing” when asked about Jacoby Brissett. Said he will be practicing. Declined to say it was a quarterback battle.

- on Isaiah Adams: “he’s doing good. Not gonna comment on that.”

- says this isn’t any different as a first time head coach entering training camp.

- On Marvin Harrison Jr.’s bulk: says he looks good but it’s person to person and doesn’t overly get into player weights.

- on extra game/practice impacts schedule: Says it paired up really well with what they wanted to do. Excited with it being his first year.

- on being NFC West underdogs: we’ll always ignore outside noise and always embrace competition. “Every week is so hard.”
I know it's coach speak and early on

But this is better that how "Pew Pew" used to sound

He was lost on the first day he came in

I saw highlights of Beck and Minshew throwing to teammates, but Jacoby throwing to a position coach. I think it's still a hold in, but a modified hold in...unless I missed something.

He is there and under contract. Pretty sure that's not how holdouts work.
I applaud your commitment in stumping for Bidwill and Monti, and pro-management perspective in general.
Coach mirrored my exact words.

"He's here, he's under contract, and he'll be practicing." - Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur, on Jacoby Brissett

Larry Fitzgerald’s son, Devon (who is currently a top high school wide receiver recruit in Arizona), spotted Arizona Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. at a local restaurant.
Devon politely approached Harrison’s table just to ask for a few quick pointers on route running. Instead of brushing the kid off or giving a quick, polite answer to get back to his meal, Harrison stopped what he was doing and invited Devon to sit down. Harrison spent the next 45 minutes talking to Devon, mapping out concepts, sharing training habits, and giving him legitimate, high-level wide receiver advice.

Harrison had absolutely no idea he was talking to the son of a franchise legend and one of the greatest wide receivers ever to walk the earth.

Early position battle notes from Cardinals training camp:

• RB Jeremiyah Love rotated with both the 1st and 2nd team offense

• Gardner Minshew led the starters, followed by Carson Beck

• Isaiah Adams opened at starting guard, with Chase Bisontis working with the backups

"We'll always ignore it. We'll always embrace competition."

Arizona Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur isn't listening to the outside noise about his team entering 2026.

I have an easier time understanding why the new HC of the team would back his GM vs a person who has been a fan of the team historically or even just while Monti has been the GM.

Nothing to do with backing the GM - it is just stating the FACTS of the situation.

Jacoby Brissett showed up to practice because, get this, he is under contract. A lot of people are forgetting that.

You missed something. Everything I saw was him throwing to players…not Coaches
