No. It’s unimportant. The RBs barely played and it’s an anomaly that says nothing about JB’s worth . It’s such a small sample size it matters not.
It is certainly correct but it’s meaningless.
It doesn’t change anything, though. You can’t not like the facts (you obviously don’t), but Jacoby Brissett has sufficient mobility to be a low-level starting QB in the NFL (the original assertion).

Not quite sure why sample size is relevant.

I’m indifferent to the facts. It doesn’t change the situation nor does it improve JB’s case or position.

I'm really starting to like you. Your verbiage shows higher education, but your reasoning just doesn't corollate with the length of your involvement with this particular gentlemen's club...LOLOL

That's the best I could do. Junior college just led me to the armed forces and the education there doesn't always lend itself to future educational opportunities.

I'm not as familiar with NFL salaries as I am NBA salaries.

However, I read only $1.5 million of Brissett's salary is presently guaranteed. Whereas, I understand Minshew is already guaranteed a one-year deal worth $5.75 million.

Part of the reason only $1.5m is guaranteed right now is due to the contract structure. His 2 year contract had $8m guaranteed with $6.5m of it front loaded into year one. He structured it to his benefit in case he was let go after the first year.

Plus, like kerouac9 said, the rest of it is guaranteed if he's on the roster week 1.

I guess the loose ends bother me a bit. The Suns were so proactive in getting their veterans signed to new contracts.

I'd agree if I thought he was a difference maker and would be the starter all year. I really think the team is in the same spot with or without him and that he won't start even half the games if he's there. He could even be a long term detriment if he gives us one or two meaningless wins over what we'd have without him.

At this point I'd much rather see deal get finalized for Paris and Wilson. Guys that can have a long term impact on the team. Get us in position for when we take the top QB in 2027.

We agree, Brissett isn't a difference maker.

For me, it's more about how the Cardinals do business, not getting loose ends tied up quickly. Good organizations take care of their players if they want to keep them.

A "difference" maker has a wide range of meaning. Will he win more games? As a fan, this is a difference I want. With out him will we watch another 3 win season and then MAYBE draft a potential QBOTF that will show promise in 2028. F that, win some games this year and get better next year. The cardinals have never drafted players and suddenly we were going to the playoffs...Hmm, case in point Mr Heisman trophy winner Kyler I can see the field in my head because I can't see over the rest of any other player on the field Murray. I agree, you can't win by losing...
I'm a fan, and may not be here long enough for next year after next year. I've been here enough next years.....
Ya know, that Cornhole Championship has been on for several nights in a row on that adult movie channel. I think I'll check it out....;)

I'm with Russ - I'd never name him a starter to begin with and definitely wouldn't pay him starter money.

He's not a starter - her just isn't

Why would you pay him double what Flacco signed for? Double Mariota?

There are plenty of no upside, mediocre vets making less than what he's currently making - let alone what he's asking for

It really doesn't look great when you allow yourself to get leveraged by the Jacoby Brissetts of the world - but that is the position they created for themselves

I didn't mean don't start him I meant it was stupid to name him the starter and then refuse to pay him like a starter.

If you were not sure, don't name the starter yet but the minute you're sure, and make him the starter, any agent worth a thing is going to ask for NFL starter money no matter what JB's past history says.

I think he's the best QB on our roster.

The coach must really like Beck's potential if they don't pay Brissett by training camp. Not paying Brissett will affect the entire team to where you will need to trade him. If Minshew is starter, he will ask for a raise too so it's Beck or pay up and we all know Beck will start at some point anyways.

Or Bidwill is a cheap ass and we are a crap organization who deserve zero financial support from it's fans until this crap hole of a family is gone.
to be honest, I am fine with Beck. Next years QB class looks real good. Need to find out if Beck is any good

I get that they're likely not going to be any good, but they can't just go with a rookie because the following year's draft class is supposed to be good. How would that play out with the veterans on the team.
"hey, Jocoby is clearly better, but we don't pay him as the league's lowest starter, by far, because we have a shot at the #1 pick next year if we play the rookie".

Why do you think Budda is already speaking out on it?

Brissett is not the future for this team. Now they have an excuse to play Beck. If Beck stinks it up, they will get a high draft choice in 2027 and hopefully get their future quarterback.

Look how well it worked out two years ago.

@kerouac9 deserves credit for the statement I'm about to make....

Poverty franchise. I was talking to my brother this weekend. He was out of town and was wondering if he missed out on anything. I responded that I really didn't know...I'm barely paying attention anymore.

The old Kool Aid guy is gone. I'm completely cynical about this team. I don't care that much anymore.

With him the team will be lucky to win 3 games this year. To me 1 or 2 wins vs 3 wins is meaningless and not a difference maker. The team still has the same talent level elsewhere and the same brutal schedule. All of the cards are stacked against them this year.
