The kind of thing that should cost you your job? I don't get that part. It's not like he's the clergy for a church or something.
The point of marriage is commitment. Without it, the individuals might expect it, but the team should not. I cannot see how this is a termination issue. Lawsuit coming I think.

No, I didn't say that. He cheated on his girlfriend but it should have zero impact on a job.

I agree with you but you can also make a commitment outside of marriage. And even if he was married and cheated on his wife, it should have nothing to do with his job.

The cheating part. If he had agreed to a monogamous relationship and then dated somebody else without breaking up first, that's cheating.

These discussions get so deep lately, I think I will leave it alone. But is a promise (if there was one) a contract?

It doesn't appear that you can leave it alone. It is for me. It's a verbal contract. It doesn't mean you can't get out of it but there's the moral, upstanding way and then there's the other way.

We agree, it's a moral thing and I personally find it binding, but I don't want to project my values onto others in judgment.

A contract requires consideration and a meeting of the minds. I'm not sure if a court would uphold it unless it is viewed as a common law marriage.

No, of course a court wouldn't uphold it. I'm just talking personally.

There is now stronger belief that Kawhi Leonard could be suspended for part of next season due to the Clippers’ Aspiration cap circumvention case. The NBA has been investigating Leonard and the Clippers for the past 10 months, with an update expected to finally occur next week.

When a primary part of your business and the person's job involves (very) public relations, why would you want to deal with this? Mind you, the dude cheated on his well-known relationship with a young player's sister as well. So that's a double headache bringing in that kid's family into a public scandal. Not to mention the player's (and his teammates') interactions with this broadcaster will likely be strained.

Also, I'm sure there is a morality clause in that dude's contract somewhere.

Lastly, the "weird" message was the girlfriend herself posting in the dude's instagram account.

Here's some more context:

OK, thank you. Makes SO much more sense in context!

And lifetime fumble. Ouch!!!
Yep. Now it makes sense. I just don't get this stuff though. All those Tiktoks and reels about "I found my fiance cheating and now watch me confront him/her at our wedding" just seems so stupid to me. I know most of them are probably fake, but still not entertaining.

The altercation occurred at a practice court in a Las Vegas hotel this morning, sources said -- starting when Adebayo approached Herro about comments the guard made critiquing the center on social media after their seven-year run in Miami ended.

Bam Adebayo reportedly punched Tyler Herro without hesitation, leaving a small mark under his left eye, per
@TheAthletic

“The incident took place at a gym inside the Resorts World Casino in front of Herro’s AAU team. According to multiple source who witnessed the incident and were granted anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter, Adebayo walked onto the courts and Herro said something to him. Adebayo proceed to walk over to Herro and, without hesitation, punch him. Herro’s AAU coach confronted Adebayo, and Herro yelled at his former teammate while being escorted out by security personnel. Both players left the scene on their own…Herro appeared to have a small mark under his left eye during the interview, which occurred shortly before news of the altercation with Adebayo emerged.”

Herro's comments on line were hilariously out of touch.

He felt like he was clearly the best player on the Heat the last few years, absolutely dragged Bam. Said HE is the one who they should build around and aquire help for.

Meanwhile they went 29-20 when he was injured and 14-19 when he was healthy.

Way too early but the early returns on Yaxel are the Warriors love him, Steph loves him and people think he might start the year in the starting 5. With Butler rehabbing the talk is they could start Porzingas, Draymond, Podz, Steph and Yaxel. I expect Santos would have something to say about that.

He's looked good in summer league especially his 3 point shooting which is not his strength but they love his defense and toughness.

I still might have taken Mara for more size but am happy with the pick.
