Don’t care about this at all
Yeah no big deal just treating super star talent like they are trash.

I’m sure other players won’t think anything of this and view this as a destination to play.

We already can’t get GMs and coaches to come here, let’s also not be able to keep and get talent.

Yeah...if the 12 mil mark was a real offer, that is dumb. Even if you approach negotiations from an initial low ball standpoint, you need to be in the ball park.
It’s so pathetic.

Dude was the only bright spot on the team and arguably the best at his position. Why not show the dude you appreciate his contributions instead of treating him like he is average?

He signed a contract didn't he? Well then sounds like all is well with the McBride clan. Who knows if it's true or not but it doesn't matter now.

A lot of handwringing over nothing… They kept the talent did they not?

Will the end result of Paris Johnson and Michael Wilson extensions change this?
Like whether or not they’re re-signed or what the terms of the contract are?

It will be a(nother) massive own goal by Monti if he can’t get those two guys plus Garrett Williams to sign extensions. I don’t care about the terms.

Don’t worry there will be plenty that run cover of MO doesn’t get it done.

Murphy Allen and Willis come to mind.

They will talk of the cap and how we can’t spend on players in the face of being millions under the cap.

Paris Johnson's agent is out of his mind with the money he's asking for. That guy is good (not great), so he'll get paid but he's asking for a stupid number. On the other end of the spectrum, shouldn't we be offended that he's asking for so much vs offering so little? What's the difference? Both are unreasonable.

It’s the message it sends to other players around the league.

The best player at his position in the NFL and they low ball him.

Awesome optics.
You're a business owner. If one of your employees asks for a raise, do you start low to save a buck hoping they accept or do you offer top dollar right out the gate?

We have no idea what Paris or his agent are asking for

This GM and the PV Hillbillies are the worst.

At least we’ll have a chance at a new GM after about eight games into the 2026 campaign.

There is no way Monti survives the catastrophe that is about to unfold before our eyes this season.

If a team member of mine is performing above market value they never have to ask for a raise. I don’t even wait for that because if they are good they are in demand and they will be hired elsewhere.

McBride was arguably the best TE in football on a horrible team with a bad reputation of being cheap and not player friendly.

The Cards don’t have the luxury of doing things like low balling great talent.
