Trump apparently lobbied FIFA to do it.

So we have a situation where I think the outcome is correct, he didn't deserve a red card, but the process to get there is a terrible precedent. YOu can't just do stuff like that because POTUS asks for it
So Trump is lobbying for a guy that wouldn’t be on the USA team if he had it his way. Doesn’t make any sense. But when does anything make sense. I wish politics will stay out of this.

As for fifa they suck. Always have and always will. And Balogun’s red card is exactly the reason why I was anti var for so long.

I don't think there is any doubt that team USA is benefiting from Trump's corruption here.

but I'll take it.
IDK. It's hard for me to believe he could keep his mouth shut about it for even this long.

But, yeah, it's definitely not on the up and up. And it is what it is. It's far from locking us in for beating Belgium.

What a save by Pickford. A little lucky that the ball bounced to his hand but he read that well.

Things have heated up. England finally tried to attack. Mexico strike back. The midfield is chaos guys losing the ball everywhere.

Now that is a clear red card. He went high and fast with studs up. He had a lot of time think about that.

This is so nice. Mexico fans thought they were going to come back and bam back to 2 down. Still can be fun if Mexico score again.
