Spencer was an absolute pest last season when we played Golden State. He might provide some insight into Kerr's tactics since I consider GSW as one of our main competitors for seeding (all the way into the play-in) this coming season.

I think this is a very good pickup for a 2 way. I thought he was actually quite good for GS last year the few times I saw him play.

Something is going to have to give here though. This is one more guy in front of Brea.

Feels like we are going to have to package several guys up for somebody - I would rather do it before the season if at all possible but it may have to wait till the deadline.

I like the add of Pat Spencer here for the Suns.

Can never have enough quick decision guys in your program, can also never have enough shooters or high-level competitors.

The game here in February is definitely in mind, looking back on his 2025-26.

This guy is 29, he has to have seen our roster.

I am pretty sure there are other teams he could get some playing time on.

I feel like the Suns almost have to have told him there is going to be a move that opens up playing time for him.

That seems logical. They are way overloaded on guards at this point.

Just noticed Spencer played 18 minutes a game last year.

There is no way he is signing with us when as currently constructed he is likely to get none. Something is way off here.

ish has first round picks to burn and jalen green if he wants to get crazy - anythings possible - and the suns have kept it all close to the vest - if they are talking to someone we won't know til shams does

Green for picks? What team has enough space to absorb Green's contract and extra picks to trade. Nah. You dont trade a player like Green just because you have Spencer.

According to AI two teams with the most available cap space today are Brooklyn with 37 million, and Chicago with 26-31 million

If you think we're going to trade Jalen Green for picks only you're delusional.
Probably not, most likely we would have to take back a player or two.

But I actually think Chicago would do it and throw us a pick or two if we took back pat williams.

Jalen Green is a perfect expansion draft player. Young. Very fun to watch. Will score a lot of points and do lots of stuff, especially on a limited roster. He will put fannies in seats while a team begins to build for the future.

Wow! I thought Spencer was as good as Gillespie when we played GSW. I guess he'd take Bouyea's spot sooner or later.

The only package at play that would make any sense is a move at PG or a move at center

Nobody is trading for Jalen Green when teams can sign Guys like Norman Powell and Anfernee Simons for far less money. Green will be here and have a lesser role and a quick hook.

Good luck to pat I always liked him. He's a good offensive player and plays hard just a bit small he's not a PG and a bit small to be a 2.

His improved 3 point shot really showed for awhile last year. Tough guy too will not back down from anybody

Given the deflation trend, Green is about worth 23-25m per, between Powell and Giddey. Good thing is, Brooks and Bridges extensions won't go to crazy numbers too.

Adding another player is exciting, but I wish the Suns were concentrating on size. Guards are more readily available than any other position.

He turns 30 on Saturday. I guess the Suns are concentrating on shooting and spreading the court.

I remember watching this guy and he fits the Suns scrappy model. I honestly didn't know you could two way a guy who has already been on a regular contract.

On December 6, Pat Spencer made his first career NBA start, posting 19 points and seven assists in a 99–94 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Following the game, head coach Steve Kerr stated in response to questions related to his first start that "his coach realized that Pat is that ************" (mother lover), referencing Spencer's own comments made about himself during a game against the Philadelphia 76ers two days earlier.

I watched him a lot in the G league for the Santa Cruz Warriors. He was always one of the best players on the floor. Definitely undersized, but he could always find the open guy and had a decent jumper. I’m surprised he had to settle for a two way after his play with the NBA Warriors.
