He just helped take Nebraska to the Sweet Sixteen for his dad, Fred, who currently coaches Nebraska.

Fred Hoiberg has the distinction of being the first player in NBA history to lead the league in three-point percentage and not be invited to the three-point competition in that year's All-Star event (2005).

When I was posting this, I kept getting the father and son's names flip-flopped, thinking back to the Suns supposed interest in Fred Hoiberg, nicknamed "The Mayor," in his playing days.

Sam was a freshman walk on at Nebraska. He never averaged double digits scoring. He definitely has a future in basketball, but likely in coaching.
