one day after the draft and you guys are already back to trading booker again - because you're so much smarter than the suns smh
Seriously you think the same team as last year with Koa is suddenly going to be better?

May I remind you the team got worse as the year went along and other coaches figured us out. We will be lucky to make the playoffs unless we get major progress from Green, Rasheer and Khaman.

Utah is the next up and coming powerhouse - my bet is they will be in the same class as the Spurs and OKC within a year or two.

He's not there yet, but don't see why he can't be. Grayson is really not that good a defender and mainly just a 3 point chucker. And you can only count on him for 50 games a year.

1/10 th the cost to. Doesn't matter anyway - we have 4 guards that should be playing in front of Grayson or Brea.
Did you not watch many games this year? At times when green and/or book were out Allen was the offense. Not just a 3 point checker. He surprised me with his very effective offspeed drives to the hole.

Oh yes. Not because of Koa but because of injured players back (I don’t count on injuries), better team continuity; Ott better as a coach. And of course younger players like Fleming and Maluach developing.

Koa not going to play. I think they make the playoffs I'm not betting against Dillon and his team

Can we get back to the intensity we had last year? Especially on defense, but also on fast breaks. I'm a careful pessimist. At least they have the same key/glue guys so chemistry wise we're there, but we lost a lot of games after the all star break. Need to stay injury free(er) and reduce amount of Point Book minutes, and have big strides from Fleming and Maluach.

The Suns will likely tweak their roster, but it's still a good roster right now.

Personally, if they added a veteran role playing 4/5 to their current mix, I'd be pretty happy.

Good compared to what?

What is best case scenario for this roster - 5th seed?

We aren't that good, it's time to accept reality. The way to get better is develop our younger players get more young players and hope for the best.

Because that's super easy, amirite. Let's just cut Royce and Grayson and sign some no-name Undrafted FAs and see where that takes us.

One of the most important aspects of developing younger players is having a team atmosphere that is conducive to doing it. You have to have quality vets, with great work ethics, who are willing to teach and encourage. We have that and it’s rare.

If that's what it takes. I would think you could at least get a 2nd or 2 for them.

All they are doing is holding our young players back. If Ott really keeps them glued to the bench I will shut up, but I still think that could cause chemistry issues, because 10 year vets don't think they should be on the bench. It is better for everyone if we send them somewhere else.

I think we are done. Signings, draft, trades, free agency. Done.

Unless other teams come knocking with deals asking us to facilitate something.

Spot on. My thoughts exactly. Suns need to maintain fire on defense.

A 5th or 6th seed would be amazing. After the Suns traded Durant, they went from a losing team to a playoff team.

IMO, fans need to be more realistic in their aspirations.

I can't find where I saw the post, but someone did a break down of the squad by age, and suddenly a big chunk of our team is young. Very young.

There's 8 young guys, who if they work out, even as rotational guys, you have a post Booker nucleus still here in Phoenix. Assuming you keep Green, and Williams is at least a back up. That prospects list is looking good! Think about how we had literally zero in that last a couple seasons ago.

Is that an indication that Allen was a good creator - or that he was the only one we had?

I expect Rasheer, Peat, and hopefully Maluawach to get post games that will give us some other options. But I will grant you it is concerning that Gillespie is not a good initiator.

Too early to say that.

Other than Green we don't know if any of them are even starter level yet.

Williams is likely to have to stop playing because of his foot and back issues. It is not normal for a 24 year old to constantly miss games because of them, and it isn't going to get better.

While I tend to think along those lines (the part in bold), the Suns are not a dumb organization.

They know the same things we do, but hopefully, they know much more.

Well, I said that was best case and I think it is, more likely we are going to struggle to make the playoffs.

I won't even have a problem with that if the focus is on developing our young players.

i think the rockets might drop off with the kd drama

don't get me started on the lukas - lebron is gonna fall off at some point and i hoping they bring ayton back

timberwolves will be unrecognizable and relying on lamelo

nuggets spurs and okc are gonna kick our asses barring some unforseen catastrophic circumstances

we can most definitely avoid the play-in this year but the goal should be homecourt - meaning the 4th seed - good thing about running it back is not having the growing pains at the beginning of the year - i can see us winning 50 games this season - that's only 5 more than last year
