Barring a last minute change, there will be a new radio PxP voice for the Cardinals

let the new announcer speculation begin

they went national last time to get Pasch rather than local. I suspect they will do the same this time

Pasch was great but radio is dead.
That is wrong for football. Football radio is generally still the highest rated shows of the week. A lot of fans in the stadiums still listen to the radio broadcast while in person.

Katz Radio Group’s 2023 study found 95% of NFL fans consider radio a reliable way to follow games on the go

Thank you to Michael Bidwill and the Arizona Cardinals for a rewarding 24-year journey with the organization. That chapter comes to a close as I transition into an expanded and exclusive role with ESPN.

I am grateful to Michael and his father, Bill Bidwill, who in 2002 entrusted me with the opportunity to be the voice of an NFL franchise. I will always treasure the lifelong friendships formed with broadcast teammates Jim Omohundro, Ron Wolfley, AQ Shipley, and Paul Calvisi.

I was blessed to witness and call memorable games including Super Bowl XLIII, and legendary players like Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald among others.

I am also tremendously grateful to Jimmy Pitaro, Burke Magnus, and Mike McQuade for this incredible opportunity with ESPN. I am thrilled to begin this next chapter of my career.

Having spent nearly half my life with the Cardinals organization, my wife and I will continue to call Phoenix home, and will always be grateful for the passion and loyalty of Cardinals fans.

I have covered the team since Dave was hired and I am honored to call him a friend. Tbh, I thought this would’ve come a few years ago.

My guess is Dave would’ve continued his double duty if at all possible. But he is one of the best PxP out there, and he deserves this.

Best wishes to Dave. He was a really, really good play by play guy. Was a homer but didn't sugar coat the crap that was on the field so often.

I used to do that when I lived in AZ
