Teams around the league want the Grizzlies to attach draft picks to Ja Morant in order to take on his contract, per
@KendrickPerkins

“Teams were asking Memphis to attach picks in order to take Ja Morant, not the other way around. They were asking Memphis, ‘Hey man, attach picks with Ja and we'll take him.’”

Honestly, if we could get an unprotected pick from them in a year we don’t have a swap and Houston has our pick, I’d be tempted to do it. That would likely net us a lotto pick because Memphis gonna be BAD for a while.

Yeah, problem is we don't really have any playing time for him, or really the right contracts to move.

I prefer Green over him anyday. But if we could flip Green for Zion, and get Ja somehow for Grayson, Royce and Mark Williams then that might work. But I don't think that is even allowed with Mark in a sign and trade.

The Thunder are actively shopping Isaiah Joe in trade talks after drafting Bennett Stirtz.Stirtz will step into Joe’s role as a sharpshooter while saving OKC millions in tax bills.

Sources: Chicago is trading Braden Smith to the Indiana Pacers for Kam Jones, future swaps and cash.

... the Grizzlies better be throwing in a bonanza of picks because that is an awful trade for us.

The Grizzlies trade three second round picks for Isaiah Stewart.

Dang, no Brooks and Stewart front court. :)

Supposedly the Hornets are getting out of the Lamelo Ball business, actively shopping him.

Very odd timing. He's extremely immature, but he did actually stop playing like a total ******* last year for a stretch and they won a lot of games.

Supposedly Minnesota is leading the charge... I cannot fathom how combining him and Ant would work.

Hornets are a minor league team masquerading as more. They accumulate youngsters and build a young core that seems primed to turn the corner and start making the playoffs before they decide to rip it all apart and start from scratch. They did that not long before getting Lamelo. Such a weird franchise.

Golden State's Al Horford is declining his player option and intends to sign a new two-year, $14 million deal to stay with the Warriors, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. Horford, 40, becomes only the 13th player in NBA history to reach 20 seasons.

The Timberwolves send a haul to the Hornets for a star-studded new backcourt in Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball -- the Nos. 1 and 3 picks in 2020. Charlotte didn't shop Ball in the market, but listened and received multiple rich offers before filling a significant need in the frontcourt with Reid.

Timberwolves co-owners Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez enter the luxury tax for the third straight year -- and the franchise makes a big move to fill the point guard spot.

What is Minnesota doing? Taking the ball out of Ant's hands isn't a great decision and losing Naz Reid after giving away Randle makes you wonder how they'll fill their frontcourt. They seemed all in on making Naz a starter and that was part of getting rid of Randle.
