The Timberwolves send a haul to the Hornets for a star-studded new backcourt in Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball -- the Nos. 1 and 3 picks in 2020. Charlotte didn't shop Ball in the market, but listened and received multiple rich offers before filling a significant need in the frontcourt with Reid.

Timberwolves co-owners Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez enter the luxury tax for the third straight year -- and the franchise makes a big move to fill the point guard spot.
WOW not sure but the Hornets are better

Maybe it's just me, but I don't really like LaMelo's game much. They gave up a lot for him, and to me he's just a streak scorer, not somebody you can rely on to take over a game.

I think the Hornets must agree with me, or they aren't looking to trade him.

This kind of feels like desperation from Minnesota to try and keep Ant happy. Doesn't seem like they have learned their lesson from Millwaukee - that doesn't work. If the player wants to leave, you are probably just best to trade them.

What is Minnesota doing? Taking the ball out of Ant's hands isn't a great decision and losing Naz Reid after giving away Randle makes you wonder how they'll fill their frontcourt. They seemed all in on making Naz a starter and that was part of getting rid of Randle.
Self Destructing.

Selling high on LaMelo while they can. I wonder if the Hornets are working a deal for Ja.

I am really curious where Ja is going to end up. I don't see many options. Only 2 I can think of are Brooklyn or Sacramento.

if they still couldn't trade him before the draft we are indeed entering bradley beal territory - meaning the current contract is unacceptable for any team to take on

LaMelo Ball goes to the Timberwolves. The cost doesn't appear to be that much.

Coby White will reportedly sign a three-year, $74 million contract with the Hornets.

Teams don't really want to touch Ja. Injuries, drop in production, and horrible off-court. Too much risk.

That would have to be Ant for Jaylen. I would think.

The Wolves are loaded. We shall see how it works. Beringer could be really good once he develops.

Not to me, I don't really want any of those guys getting playing time for us anymore.

I’d rather have any of those players individually than Ja Morant.

When you factor in contracts, it’s insanity. The grizzlies can’t give Ja Morant away right now.

Huge gamble by Minnesota. Last year was the first year in five years that Ball was able to stay reasonably healthy.

Part of the reason I liked them dumping Randle was that it opened up a starting role for Reid… now he’s gone.

I don’t see Edwards enjoying playing with Ball. They are both tremendous offensive talents, but both of them need the ball in their hand.

I understand it is a risk, but he is still fairly young - the guy used to be really good.

I get where you are coming from the contract could be a huge albatross. It is very hard for us to take that kind of risk with as much dead money as we already have.

The Raptors will likely pursue Kawhi Leonard with a trade package centered around Brandon Ingram and draft compensation if the Clippers star becomes available this summer.Toronto and the two-time NBA champion would have mutual interest in a reunion, per

I am not a fan of Randle - but he can score occasionally.

Naz Reid is a really good big.

I don't understand what they are doing - they clearly seem to be a worse team to me after these moves, especially because you cannot count on Ball to stay healthy.

Good news is, Suns probably move ahead of them in the seeding.

Problem is Utah is going to be a force this year to take their place.
