“Before the season, The Athletic reported that Thibodeau was deeply wounded and “had a sense of betrayal” after his firing and believed some people in the organization he had helped over the years didn’t return that loyalty. On Tuesday, a friend of Thibodeau’s said he is “genuinely very happy for the players and his guys” for winning a historic championship. “But Tom is still hurt that the decision-makers made it appear he needed to be replaced.””

He was on a podcast in NZ and he was asked about trash talking and said I don't do it anymore, I never really have much and I'm not good at it. Then he said his best example in a game against Valanciunis he said Jonas was talking trash to me and I said "bro you eat with a knife and fork, I eat with my bare hands you best be careful" or something close to that. He said after the game all I could think was how cringe that was, I should have told him to shut up or not responded but I had to say something that ridiculous!

Tons of rumors on this one people keep saying the NCAA was looking at Michigan for all the tampering with transfers and May jumped ship before that but I'm pretty skeptical i don't think the portal and NIL even allow for NCAA rules anymore so it would be crazy for them to go after 1 school for tampering when everyone does it.
But the interim coach is Boynton the guy who buried the OK State program. they did that because they were afraid too many kids might leave. The new portal rule is when a coach leaves, 5 days after the new coach is hired they open the portal up just for the kids on the team who lost their coach, so any kid on the Michigan roster will be allowed in a few days to enter the portal and transfer. The one everyone is waiting on is incoming freshman guard Brandon McCoy jr from so Cal. I have no clue if UCLA would even try for him they backed off of him ages ago because he wants to play PG and they don't think he is one, but he's a legit 6'5" guard who can defend, pretty athletic so IF he wants to leave he'll have plenty of schools interested.
May has been rumored to be looking at the NBA for awhile, so not a shock he jumped but the timing is a bit strange it's almost July, but it is what it is

“In the midst of a rebuild and over the first apron, barring an unexpected trade, the Sacramento Kings are expected to waive-and-stretch forward DeMar DeRozan, HoopsHype has learned. DeRozan’s $25.74 million expiring contract is only guaranteed for $10 million, which can be stretched over the next three seasons. Should DeRozan enter free agency as expected, the Los Angeles Clippers are expected to have interest in the California native, HoopsHype has learned.”
