Not very difficult, but clearly two completely different personalities.More well-spoken than Kyler FWIW.
It's what you want to hear. We will see if it amounts to anything. I think everyone is hoping Beck works out even if they don't think he will."Beck said he has been putting in 13-hour days at the Cardinals' facility, going beyond what Arizona is asking of its rookies. After the rookies are done with their meetings, Beck spends time with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and quarterbacks coach Matt Schaub. Beck also has access to first-year head coach Mike LaFleur if questions arise."
all thats fine..its expected...QB, along with major league pitchers...have to be the most arrogant sons-o-******* out there...Maybe I have QBPTSD after Rosen but I'm not loving all this self-congratulation. "I'm doing all this, I'm doing all that, I'm so confident the other." Meh.
too many people mistake physical ability for "Talent"...More well-spoken than Kyler FWIW. The talent level, not so much. The hope is he can develop into a decent backup, spot starter (IMO).
And has a better understanding of pro concepts and actually applying them.too many people mistake physical ability for "Talent"...
Kyler was certainly more athletically gifted than Beck... but there is absolutely zero indication that the game slows down for Kyler more than it does for Beck... or that Murrays instincts are quicker and more accurate.
Kylers talent when running the ball is what made him a first round pick... Beck will never measure up to that. But he may have more talent when it comes to seeing the field...and he certainly has more..much more,..talent when it comes to leading a team.
Dude, there are some sites out there that will take your mind elsewhere and help you sleep...all thats fine..its expected...QB, along with major league pitchers...have to be the most arrogant sons-o-******* out there...
as long as the work going in matches the words coming out...its good...
and,...as long as we aint hearing talk of revenge for those who passed on him...or how stupid 31 teams were for passing on the greatest QB their squad ever had...all that B.S.
Im actually a bit surprised honestly... Beck is displaying a very good mix of confidence and humility... I was expecting him to lean a bit more into the arrogance...
what scares me the most is my own psyche... quicksand,,, I get trapped...
start thinking,..."what if".....
what if we finally found one...
what if we dodged the curse...
If I do not rein in that type of unbridled positivity before it gets to second base its momentum takes it too far too fast for me to stop it...and suddenly its 3am, im in bed trying to sleep....and we are heading into our chance to 3Peat, with a bright young QB that just broke a passing record by throwing for 6000 yards during the regular season,...and then added 1100 yards and 12 Touchdowns in the playoffs...
and I cant sleep...its the excitement,...gotta see how this game plays out....how does he follow up next season??
so yeah...gotta stop that positive stuff right away or it just runs away with me...
My only real concern with him is arm strength. He floats a lot of balls and i just wish they'd get there with a little more zip on the ball. I hope the injury is fully healed and he can really place it this year. Time will tell. It's what you want to hear. We will see if it amounts to anything. I think everyone is hoping Beck works out even if they don't think he will.
I like what Beck is doing. Just the way he was pumping himself up was reminding me of Rosen. It's simply a matter of expectations for me. I like it from Beck given where he was taken, and didn't like it from Rosen given he was a "savior". I somehow believe him, whereas JR essentially lost me with the "9 mistakes" comment.
he is the equivalent of a scratch off lottery ticketWe want to believe so badly, don’t we?
he is the equivalent of a scratch off lottery ticket
as long as that silver ink is still there -- it could be a winner!
at some point in the regular season, it will get scratched off slowly but surely
That’s not saying much tbh. When Kyler came out of college it seemed like he had zero media training. I think part of it was having a helicopter dad.More well-spoken than Kyler FWIW. The talent level, not so much. The hope is he can develop into a decent backup, spot starter (IMO).
If true, then his work ethic is night and day from what we heard about Kyler. He may not have the same talent but I can appreciate the work ethic. It’s what made guys like Brady, Peyton, Brees, Rivers so great. I’m not saying he’s going to be anywhere close to those guys but it all starts with the work ethic and attention to detail."Beck said he has been putting in 13-hour days at the Cardinals' facility, going beyond what Arizona is asking of its rookies. After the rookies are done with their meetings, Beck spends time with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and quarterbacks coach Matt Schaub. Man… that is such a rough watch for an entire season. Probably worth it in the end IF it means we get the first pick AND gets Monti canned, but yeah… a rough watch for a full season of football.Start Beck week 1 so he can drive us to the #1 pick with ease.
Not for me. That would probably be it for me and this team. The first pick doesn’t guarantee anything.Probably worth it in the end IF it means we get the first pick AND gets Monti canned, but yeah… a rough watch for a full season of football.
Isn't that like 12 more hours a day than Kyler put in?"Beck said he has been putting in 13-hour days at the Cardinals' facility, going beyond what Arizona is asking of its rookies. After the rookies are done with their meetings, Beck spends time with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett and quarterbacks coach Matt Schaub. There are so many reasons these young QBs fail outside of even the pre draft stuff. So much of it comes down to how quickly these guys can process information and make the right decisions which is really tough for anyone to determine. I think Beck had some maturity, arm strength, and decision making concerns pre draft. Those just get added to the other things that every QB has to overcome at the NFL level. My only real concern with him is arm strength. He floats a lot of balls and i just wish they'd get there with a little more zip on the ball. I hope the injury is fully healed and he can really place it this year. Time will tell.
I mean if he wins the job, it's "fine". If they are trying to lose, I am just over that non-sense, personally.Start Beck week 1 so he can drive us to the #1 pick with ease.
Yeah...this team has not earned a lot of faith that they could even take advantage of the 1 overall pick.Man… that is such a rough watch for an entire season. Probably worth it in the end IF it means we get the first pick AND gets Monti canned, but yeah… a rough watch for a full season of football.
Not that we would win a lot more games with Brissett, but i think games would at least be competitive on offense here and there throughout the season where we could get excited about the future with a new QB. Beck = total drek of an offense.
