His option bonus triggered in March — $7.2 million. We’d save $10 million on the cap but have nothing to spend it on, and Michael would have paid over $7 million for another player to go away without playing a down.
They’re not gonna do it, but he should have some trade value. Less than $10 million this season plus two non-guaranteed seasons following.
