Right? Those sissy east coast folks sitting in the freezing 60's or 70's. When we've got a great mid-May 100 degrees today. LOLThis is one big F you from the NFL. They’re basically saying “the only thing positive about the AZ Cardinals is the AZ weather.”

I know, just thought I'd poke fun at hitting the 100'sThis is one big F you from the NFL. They’re basically saying “the only thing positive about the AZ Cardinals is the AZ weather.

Manning aint ever coming here.Monti-ing for Manning?
bro im trying to drink coffee over hereThe first 3 weeks are all 50/50 games, IMO.
Chargers and Seahawks have a history of starting slow and the Cards always put up a fight on the road in San Francisco and seem to win games they have zero business even competing in, there.
agree. The first 3 weeks are all 50/50 games, IMO.

Cards have to earn their way into prime time. The NFL screwed the Cards. 7 of the first 11 on the road an no primetime games. Realize the team is rebuilding but this is brutal.
I'm feeling optimistic today. The last couple of years the first 3 or 4 games just look like preseason games while the starters shake the rust off. So, I think the first couple of games are a 50/50. Besides we have that one extra preseason game to give us a one-week advantage to get our ducks in a row.The first 3 weeks are all 50/50 games, IMO.

Imagine thinking you can lose your way into winning.Cards have to earn their way into prime time.
If Monti was doing his job and fielding a competitive team we’d be excited that if we managed through that opening roster a game above or below .500 we’d be well positioned for a playoff push.
Instead many are assuming we’ll go 0-6 in division and some are hoping for another 3-14 season.
Imo the Cards fully earned this schedule. Can't start the season with a career backup qb as you starter. This franchise has a long history of sucking so why would they be given any prime games. Networks etc pay big money for those games, I'm sure they have a say in the schedule. 4 other teams didn't get any prime time games, because they also have no public interest. The NFL screwed the Cards. 7 of the first 11 on the road an no primetime games. I could give two squirts about primetime games. A little national coverage would be nic e, but you have to earn it, I agree.Imo the Cards fully earned this schedule. Good news is that the Cards will always play on Sundays so MLF doesn't have to juggle scheduling etc for prime time slots.
Blame the Cards. The NFL screwed the Cards. 7 of the first 11 on the road an no primetime games. Realize the team is rebuilding but this is brutal.
I think the Cards are gonna be better than the tank commanders expect is (1) Monti might feel pressure not to orchestrate one of the worst four-season runs in recent memory for any team, and (2) I don’t really want MLF to be bad.Imagine thinking you can lose your way into winning.
Sounds like a lot of people have never won in their lives.
Cards opening on the road for 5 of the last 6 seasons (IIRC) is not fair. Some teams had to get the bye date so I'm not happy with that but stuff happens.I could give two squirts about primetime games. A little national coverage would be nic e, but you have to earn it, I agree.
What I do not understand is process for determining home and away and byes. giving us 6 of 9 away to start seems wildly unfair, i get some teams has to get screwed in the bye process, b ut to do both to us in the same season. If Im Bidwill Im throwing tantrums to see that that never happens again.
Does anyone actually KNOW the process for scheduling? There isnt some luck-of-draw aspect to it that might explain the brutality thats been foisted on us, is there?
EDIT, I just read a quick summary from the NFL operations portal. cloud computing determines it after all formulas for fairness have been calculated. LAME.
Fairs got nothing to do with it.Cards opening on the road for 5 of the last 6 seasons (IIRC) is not fair.
Im sure the NFL is trying to maximize home attendance by holding more home games at a time when it’s not brutally hot outside a 2 pm.
September, October, November, December. Some weeks in early January.Have the Cards had trouble filling the stadium in September/October?

I mean, the stadium atmosphere and number of empty seats speak for themselves. The Cards will also tell you they have a season-ticket waiting list and they had their strongest renewal rate ever.According to the internets, the Cardinals have officially sold out every home game (including preseason) since moving into the new Stadium in Glendale in 2006. Maybe a better product would increase the amount of actual Cardinal fans though.
