Ha! How did he pop up on your radar?

In my earlier years, Jahidi White sort of symbolized the type of big man I wanted for the Suns before the NBA transited over to a SSOL style of play.

I would have embraced a cyclops back then. The Suns need for a strong big man goes back to the inception of the franchise.

It's too bad we can't assemble players to make great ones. Remember Earl Clark? He had a fantastic PF body but unfortunately, was just not a very good basketball player. If we could have put Amare's brain in the body...

So true.

A realistic trade framework for what the Grizzlies will be able to receive for Ja Morant this offseason:
Suns: Morant
Memphis: Jalen Green, Royce O’Neale, 2027 1st (least favorable of Cavaliers, Jazz or Timberwolves)
After jumping in the lottery, Memphis will again shop Ja.

No way should we give one of our few remaining firsts up to get Morant.

That is horrible.

It's all about the sources...

I'd take Morant on the cheap.

No, no, no, a thousand times no.

He's cancer, he is a disease.

He also is completely reliant on his athleticism and it is rapidly failing as he is perpetually injured.

Given the type of team the front office says they're trying to create, Ja should not even remotely be a consideration.

I'd take Ja if he were bought out and would sign for the MLE or less to be a backup. The problem though is he'd almost definitely rock the boat, thinking he's underpaid and deserves a starting role. Ultimately its likely best to steer clear.

Green is horribly inefficient but his contract is the same length as Morant’s. No reason to do that deal. If Ja had one year left it would be worth speculating.

One would have to think getting him out of Memphis would help.

For the right price, you roll the dice and take your chances.

Absolutely not, “wherever you go there you are.”

The right price would be at no trade cost and on a contract with no guarantees so I don’t see the right price coming.

This is more likely the truth.

Sounds intriguing, given his contract terms. I wonder whether Booker+RO for Zion+Murray would fit both teams even better, with minor compensations like swapping 2nd picks this year.

I'd rather not go after either player but if we are going to take an insane roll of the dice on a guy who's value is in the tubes, I would go with Zion over Ja by a mile.

They both have issues, Zion's seem mostly about conditioning... Ja's problems go far deeper to me. He bumps heads with his front office, he gets coaches fired, he can't stay healthy and his antics on and off the court are a perpetual distraction.

Just saying this from a pure basketball aspect, aside from injuries and mental instability, Ja's skills are better than Green's skills. Ja's basketball IQ is way better. I acknowledge all the downsides, but just comparing skills versus skills, Ja wins you games way more consistently than Green. All that said, I would rather hang onto Green.
