Tune wasn't worthy of a 5th round or draft selection. You have the answer? You know the Cards will always suck, right? Who can stop these guys? You want them to stink so you can continue to be Mr. Negative cutting down everyone's opinions.

As a QB you normally get drafted a round or two before they should otherwise. Thinking more like a 7th rnd pick value which means little to no value so we got that.

I wonder if it was strictly drafting someone who can run the scout team cheaply with zero development potential.

Watching Tune’s highlight film back when he was drafted looked pretty good. I had hope after viewing. Is it possible the scouts just viewed his college highlights and very little else?

You only know he wasn't worth a 5th because of how he was in the NFL.

The odds are, in 2 years time, you will be saying the same about Beck.

Yeah, sounds pretty safe..sounds easier to say that. Same thing was said about players that made it too.

Lol...
I used to get up at 5am Saturday and Sunday for the draft... think it was a special event for ABC's Wide World of Sports back then.
I’ve always watched it religiously. In college my entire fraternity would cycle in and out of my living room for updates (no cellphones yet). I was so excited this year because my 14 year proactively asked me to watch it with him (he’s laid up in bed with a full leg cast - spiral fracture of his ankle and his tibia and do is broken - damn e-bikes) . . . then he proceeded to play video games on a tv right next to the draft which was distracting. But I’ll take the win of a teenager wanting to do something with me related to football.

(I rewatched all the Cardinals picks alone later)

My wife loves it. She knows I am willing to stick through a lot of tough times.
Man that’s a good litmus test. We should have all targeted Cardinals fans as significant others. For some of us that would’ve been a good indicator that they’d stay through rough patches no matter how long. For others they’d have benefitted from the low standards.

He was during chunks of seasons. What I wonder: could a very good coaching staff be able to coax consistency out of Kyler? Could a good coach see the signs things aren't working and get things back on track? Kliff couldn't and neither could this last staff.
Only if they can (a) make him change his attitude - I see that as a stretch; and (b) get him to take the mental side of the game more seriously . . . maybe the combination of failing here and the right coach can trigger that.

Ya know, most members make a joke every now and then. Now that you, Harry, Gandhi, K9, and chop have all broke the ice with a joke, the only one missing is your bro cheese. I've never seen a glimmer of humor from him. Maybe give him a little nudge ;)
He actually possesses the most ridiculous sense of humor of anyone here. I kid you not. I mean off the wall creatively ludicrous.

That’s not the point. The point is that your example of the target volume needed for a credible deep threat is actually pretty large.

Michael Wilson didn’t get 60 targets his rookie season. Cleveland’s second-most targeted wideout had 44 targets last year.

Also, the fastest combine ever was 4.21 by Xavier Worthy. Despite that timed speed, worthy hasn’t don’t much to add dimension to the KC aerial attack.
100% this. I said to myself the moment he got drafted he wouldn't be what they thought. Prime example of a combine making a player some bucks.

Oh no, cheese fully earns his reputation. He’s as dark as darksiders get when it comes to the cards. And he’ll fly off the handle in an argument. But he is funny. And wicked smart . . . even if he doesn’t always choose to display it on ASFN.
