Lots of moving parts possibly in play. But for the love of god lock Oso in the gym until he develops a jump shot around the paint area. He can’t be that bad at a 10-15ft shot for crying out loud

I mean, I know he's the owner and you expect him to be overly optimistic from a PR standpoint, but a championship in the next three or four years? I'd like to hear the concrete plans for how Ishbia thinks that's going to be accomplished so the rest of us can get enthused, too.

If one hasn't watched this video, it's a must, as Bobby Marks of ESPN evaluates the Suns going forward.

I think I might have been the first one on the Oso wagon on the board, I think he's a solid role player and a steal of a pick, but as much as I like him, he's got a low ceiling. I just don't see him ever becoming a decent shooter from any range outside 8 feet.

I hope I am wrong, but for all the time we know he's put in on his shot, he doesn't even consider shooting unless it's a running floater or right around the rim.

Mat Ishbia on Royce O’neal and Grayson Allen:

“I really think highly of Grayson and Royce and I hope they’re both on our team next year, and I expect them both to be on our team”

i think i wanna see fleming and maluach start next year - ready or not - if they're not ready it's all the more reason to start them so they'll be ready for the playoffs

it also allows the bench mob to stay intact with gillespie goody dunn and oso - there's a lot of chemistry with this unit - the bench mob does it's best with book or brooks imo - book because he creates - brooks because everyone steps it up on d

book jalen and brooks mean offense - maluach and fleming mean offensive rebounds - these two factions must be paired together

maluach and fleming also mean interior defense and more rebounds - they've had their year to slow cook - it's ott's job to make them serviceable on the big stage

This would be ideal, if it works. If they really run everyone back, it'll have to work.

We snuck up on some teams early last season and that won't happen next year. If our interior rebounding, scoring and defense doesn't improve significantly we'll be looking at another early exit at best.

If our core three guys can click and play at a high level consistently and one of Man/Fleming take it up a couple notches it'll be a great season.

In looking ahead to the Suns retaining Jordan Goodwin, Collin Gillespie and possibly MarK Williams, it could be difficult if they want to avoid the repeater penalties.

Kellan Olson of Arizona Sports talks about it. It will be a juggling act and gets complex in a hurry. The paragraph below is particularly important.

Kellan Olson BY KELLAN OLSON May 11, 2026, 10:15 AM, Arizona Sports:

If you’re following along with me, that means, yes, the Suns would still be a repeater this upcoming season if they return to the tax. But far more importantly, if they remain out of it for one more season, that resets their “three-in-four” counter. In other words, Phoenix could spend two straight seasons in the tax following the 2026-27 campaign and not face the repeater penalties if it stays out of the tax this upcoming season. That’s quite helpful.

Can't blame Lee but James Jones signed a number of guys for what ended up being their last year(s) in the league like Damien Lee. Hopefully we improve in that regard.

I was going to say the same, the number of guys we signed who no longer played after we moved on from them is pretty insane. Talent evaluation wasn't something good in the JJ era.

Big time... Jones was actually pretty egregious at it. He was the perfect example of a front office guy who locked on to big names and believed that the rest of the roster was irrelevant. That always ends in disaster.

Please share any ifs, ands, or buts for this arrangement.

Better yet, state where every game will be televised so we know what to expect.

Huh? Are you looking a gift horse in the mouth? We are lucky to have free Suns games when every other organization makes you pay for it. The only exceptions for the Suns is for the exclusive national broadcasts and that's on the NBA.

To be clear, I'm appreciative of the free Suns games with Arizona Family and even the paid streaming option offered by the Suns in Arizona.

However, I'm not a fan of the way the NBA has handed out excusive rights for national broadcasts to different networks. This has made watching the games akin to playing musical chairs.

I totally agree but it has nothing to do with this Ishbia free TV deal.

I wonder if those close to the stateline can now watch. I know my parents can't because they are 45min to 1hr from the NM border.
DTV wouldn't help them and when they tried online they said they were out of network.

No, they are not related but when I hear the word "all" used by the media, they should be clear about what games aren't.
