I don't watch a lot of college football, so if my statement is false, please correct me.
Kurt states that Beck "won" two championships "as a backup". I interpret that as; he was on the team when they won those championships. I don't know if he actually played. So ergo, Kyler Murray went 1-11 also while being on the sidelines when JB was playing.....
Just saying, if Beck receives credit for team wins. JB doesn't deserve that he was completely responsible for the 1-11 record.

Just thought I'd stir the pot so some members had something to debate

since 2016, there have been 31 QBs drafted in rounds 2-4.

of those 31, two of them have turned into starters: Dak Prescott and Jalen Hurts. 1 is TBD in Malik Willis

so a 6.5% hit rate that might turn into a 9.6% hit rate

I said this earlier, no way that Beck was fully healthy last year. UCL injuries take awhile to heal, and playing a full season while healing, you'll notice his arm strength decreased throughout the year. Having some rest should bring him back to full strength.

9.6 is not bad and well worth taking a chance on. I doubt its much higher with 1st round picks.

Some intel gathered from various sources on Carson Beck. Cardinals didn't plan to take a QB, but they had Beck rated right where he was picked. If a few others had been available, one would have been selected, but all were gone.

Yeah Beck is just a lottery ticket. Like you mentioned, about a 10% chance he hits…But if he does, that would be amazing. And Monti would have saved his job.

Sure.
My criteria is as follows...
"I find this interesting"

But unlike most people...I dont trust anything from the internet. It's all a scam of one sort or another....so then the question is,.. do I find this interesting

Here's the thing with Beck. His main issues are struggles under pressure. That was in college where he was there for about 6 years and the game had to "slow down" for him as much as it could. Now he's going to the NFL, and the game is going to be much bigger, stronger, faster and now, he's going to improve and it's no longer going to be an issue?

That makes very little sense to me.

We are going to have Carson Beck on the show today - we are on after the Dbacks game. Plan is for him to get a ton of reps in the preseason. Arizona won't throw him in a regular season game if he is not ready but absolutely need to figure out what he is so these next 4-5 months huge in his development.
