I like that more than the theoretical Ja Morant deal. Not that either are great but I'd sooner gamble on Zion's physical health over Ja's mental and physical health.
If it's a flyer for something relatively negligible like say, Grayson Allen, plus whatever fodder makes the contract numbers work, sure.

Yeah, I don't think this is anything but silly talk. But make of it what you will...

Gotta love an article that's a bunch of silly talk about another article, with link, and that linked article is again nothing but silly talk that doesn't even specify the way the trade would work to make it happen. Just the ultimate form of lazy writing.

Giannis absolutely wants to be in Phoenix and is a preferred destination. That's because of Mat Ishbia,Devin Booker, and what they're building! That said, I don't believe the Suns will blow things on an all-in move. Would have to make sense! They love the situation they are in

Didn't FLEX's 15 minutes of fame expire like five years ago?

If the Suns so choose, they have their 2027 first round pick (draft day) and their 2033 first round pick available to use in trade.

If the Suns did use one or both of them, I hope they strategically ask for second round picks in return so they are not left without picks in these drafts.

By run it back I mean roughly 80% of the rotation. I'm in favor of moving Grayson, ideally for a PF, and giving it another go. Grayson is the only guy firmly in the rotation I want to move on from. He has value and should be able to get a rotation big in return, which is what we need.

I'm happy with Book, Jalen, Brooks, Collin, Goodwin. Williams, Royce, Maluach, and Fleming rounding things out.

Dunn is on the fence, I could take it or leave it.

Give me another 4 and 5 to add to the above listed players. I want a spare and a backup.

Please, no Zion Williamson. He is a fragile, one-sided scorer who does nothing else than straight drives and quite ineffective or non-existant in every other aspect of the game.

Look how far the Pelicans advanced with him as their franchise player.

The Suns could be trade suitors for Aaron Gordon, per
@BrettSiegelNBA
.

“Teams like the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Boston Celtics are among the many win-now teams Gordon would obviously fit in with as realistic trade suitors.”

I know he's not what he was but I think a reduced offensive role here would help get the most from him. He'd be a #3 or #4 on offense.

I'd gladly swap Grayson for him. ESPN's trade machine works with just those 2. Probably cost us a little more. Throw in Dunn to Denver and a #2 to us, maybe a pair of #2's.

AG's salary jumps to 33mil next season. I guess it'd require Allen, RO and Dunn, at least

AG would be a great fit for this team

Grayson will be at $18.125 next year, which isn't enough. If we include Royce and they include Strawther it still works financially. Royce and Grayson for AG is a little lopsided so adding Julian Strawther evens it out and gives us a SG who is better than Brea.

I would split Suns' players into the following tiers:

A (Probable) parts of the future core

Maluach, Fleming, Dunn

B Best players of the actual squad but expendable if the right offer comes

Booker, Brooks

C Good/excellent complementary players on bargain deals if they are willing to sign them (Oso is already on one)

Williams, Gillespie, Goodwin, Ighodaro

D Useful veterans who are available in trades for youth and/or picks and/or cap relief

Allen, O'Neale, Green

E Rotation players on cheap contracts

Highsmith, Bouyea

Let's shop Booker to Chicago! Almost like going home, sweet home Chi-Detroit. They have some pieces we could build around, or do one of those OKC deals where they send out a Paul George and get a handful of high draft picks back. But! But only if we stay clear of Dragan the dragon Bender and Marqueese Chriss 2.0 and that nut job (don't ignore the flags) Josh Jackson.

Hoop Head proposed a deal of Green for Giddey/Buzelis, which I would heartily endorse if the Bulls could be talked into it. Two younger players with lots of upside. Giddey is one of the best young PGs in the league. I would easily substitute Booker for Green if that's what it would take.

Sadly, I think the Suns management is too short sighted to even think of anything like that. And whether the Bulls would even consider it is another matter.

I agree. I think Green or Booker for those two would be great for a quick rebuild.

I have no idea why the Bulls would consider that.

Who knows what the Bulls would consider... that team is quietly one of the worst ran in the league. Their trade deadline moves this year were baffling... the main piece they acquired was waived 2 weeks later because they didn't do their research and were not aware he was insane.

If they hadn't lucked into Michael Jordan, the Reinsdorf Bulls would be the Browns of the NBA.

Which is why I would like to get the better of them. They had interest in Bradley Beal the last couple of seasons also. The management there is so bad that they're impossible to predict.
