What we should do is feature our youth and future. Start Fleming and Maluach along with Book, Brooks, and Green. What we will do: Same ol', same ol'. Small ball plus Oso. Maybe Fleming will get in before the last 2 minutes though. It may get out of hand early in which case I could see it. Let's hope we at least go out swinging.
gotta at least get Fleming some burn while the game is still a game, IMO. Leaning him parked on the bench the entire series is just such a wasted opportunity to get a young guy valuable playoff experience, especially since we have no chance to win the series anyway.

While I agree with you, I just haven't seen anything so far to show that we may do that. But maybe the brass will recognize the fact that no team has come back from down 3-0 and give him that experience. Here's hoping.

like most good players, he's overpaid. That's a league issue, it's not on Booker.
that's an awful perspective you've made before. i could argue that it IS on Booker and his agent to put him and his team in a position to succeed, not afford a larger mansion, but the point is -- Team salary is a core component of team success and his is a mismatched drain. His needs to be dumped.
IMO Booker is not our problem and never has been, he just isn't our answer.
if he isn't "the answer" and is making as much as 11 other Suns, then he is the problem

there are always many problems with a team, but...
he. is. the. problem

Somebody has got to be aggressive. Brooks has been pretty efficient. I'll take it. He's the one that kept us in game 2 and gave us a chance. It seems like Brooks and Green have been our only aggressive offensive players on the team this postseason. Well, and Allen hasn't been afraid to shoot since he came back in Game 3.
Except, apparently it doesn't work that way. Some guys were quoting analytics that showed when he is your highest volume shooter the Suns lose. That's not good. Don't get me wrong, his offense has been a surprise, but I think he has a tendency to go "iso" and fall in love with his offense which hurts the team when it comes to the outcome. He has to pick his spots and compliment IMO. He should not be putting up more shots than Book.

It didn't look like that in game 2. He single-handedly got the Suns back in the game. And what makes you think Book will suddenly be more aggressive than he has been?

It "didn't look that way". Exactly. It's deceiving. They lost. The point the analysts were making is that when it happens, the result is a Suns loss. They analyzed it over the season. What it looks like during the game doesn't mean anything if it results in a loss. I think that was the point they were making.

Book needs to be more aggressive. If he does it or not, I couldn't tell you.

Bring on the thunder. FTA will whimper and bait his way (and push off) to 15 attempts. Hope they nail Lou Dirt with a flagrant or two. I've always detested players who play dirty. I was afraid Grayson Allen was one, but he's cleaned up his play. I hope Dork can as well. Is it not enough to get away with grabbing and flopping yo guys?

Go out with a glimmer of hope, Coach Ott. Start Fleming instead of going small _yet_ again. Intelligence is recognizing something does not work and stop trying the same thing again and again. Great coaches are able to adjust and respond. Hope to see you next year, but only if you show us something to indicate you're not a stubborn one trick pony.

Lou Dort is not a dirty player, but he is our enforcer. 100%.

Don’t start nothing won’t be nothing, okay?

this is something else that's always puzzled me... people not being able to admit one of their own is dirty. When Danny Ainge played on the Suns, I had no problem admitting he was a dirty player and would take cheap shots. I have no problem admitting Allen still does it from time to time too.

You can be a passionate fan and be somewhat objective at the same time.

Lou Dort played for the Sun Devils but it is what it is. The Suns should have signed him as a free agent coming out of ASU.

should be interesting. With the series virtually over, Ott should focus on proving, collectively, they can step up, be competitive as a team and maybe win one. No hero ball. That ship already sailed. Try some different lineups. Get more players off the bench.
