Others like him more than me. I’d be okay with round 3 but likely gone. He’s very raw and played weaker competition.I like the safety from Toledo at 34, McNeil-Warren, or the safety from Oregon, along with aforementioned McDonald and Oregon guard.

I wouldn’t hate it but early.SLAUGHTER!
Mr ToughMy choice for RT in round 3 or maybe a trade back into late round 2 is Gennings Dunker from Iowa.
Arms primarily only for tackle, okay at G. They can fix strength. He’s quick enough to fill in at OT and has played both sides. Smart player.Hearing that Tiernan is not strong in the lower half and has short arms. Is that the knock on him?
I compare Crownover to Justin Jones. He will look absolutely dominant and destroy people. Then, a whiff. Yes, he has all the tools to be a great starter but he is not a done dealCrownover is intriguing to me. He's got the physical traits to be a starter level tackle but needs some polishing.
For sure, I just want to end up with someone who can take snaps there year one as we always seem to have journeymen playing a lot of DT snaps at the end of the season. I’d also love to pair a bigger body with Nolen as he develops even if we have Lopez on the roster today.I really like him but you can argue this class is deep at NT. Makes taking him less clear.
I addressed Tiernan on my OT post, really a guard. Barber might be okay as a swing OT, serious injury issues. Little things become big things in the NFL. Wagner doesn’t look athletic enough to me to plain in NFL. I like Tiernan as a guard and swing OTThe following OT's that are still available were on the 30 player visit list for the Cardinals:
Caleb Tiernan - Northwestern
Austin Barber - Florida
Aami Wagner - Notre Dame
Look at string titled 34@Harry Thanks for keeping us up to date - first thing I thought of today was to come see what you had to say about round 2.
These guys with the athleticism and weak performance drive me nuts. Crownover is a millionaire if he used his God given talent. I’d have killed to have it. Bad combo on my part.I compare Crownover to Justin Jones. He will look absolutely dominant and destroy people. Then, a whiff. Yes, he has all the tools to be a great starter but he is not a done deal
That is why I would take Bisontis or Pregnon over him. I think he is a third round type of a pick.
I watch every play of A&M football (sigh, sadly) that is my take.
OMG yes please Monti do thisBut I'm not against taking CB again.
The only one that I think could be a starting caliber that is left is Caleb Tiernan. He's massive and could swing to RT. Smaller reach that I'd like but that's what you get in late second, early 3rd round. Dunker projects to be a guard, and the rest are kinda meh. Markel Bell would be fun just for his incredible size, but he's a horrible run blocker. Austin Barber might be an interesting developmental talent. It's all a crapshoot after Caleb IMO, and many if not most project to IOL.Good theory, show me the RT.
Yeah, I could never really figure out his deal. It seemed like he would all of the sudden lose his concentration. But he could very well turn out to be a 10 year pro if he gets the right coach. These guys with the athleticism and weak performance drive me nuts. Yeah I'm thinking G in the 2nd and potentially him in the 3rd or 4th.I compare Crownover to Justin Jones. He will look absolutely dominant and destroy people. Then, a whiff. Yes, he has all the tools to be a great starter but he is not a done deal

There is no drop in talent if you are going to draft a guy early just because it's a needIt comes down to compensation. Not sure if you can get anything meaningful for the drop in talent
Totally agree.I think you just take Pregnon or Bisonitis at 34 and hopefully ensure 4 of the 5 OL spots are solid and deep, and then maybe sign another vet RT to get that spot “good enough “. You have to ensure Love is productive after taking him at 3. The defense may just have to wait
I think there is a gap between Pregnon and Bisonitis vs other OL.There is no drop in talent if you are going to draft a guy early just because it's a need
Part of it is do you have a guy you believe in.I think you just take Pregnon or Bisonitis at 34 and hopefully ensure 4 of the 5 OL spots are solid and deep, and then maybe sign another vet RT to get that spot “good enough “. Later for me. Good ones in round 3, though I expect a run in round 2I’d go WR.
