I think everyone needs to calm down with the Ty Simpson hype. I've heard it's all just chatter and that he would be considered if he falls to the Cardinals, but even then it's a maybe. A trade down in Round 2 could happen if a team wants to trade up for him.
To be honest I wouldnt mind that at all something bout him just doesnt feel right then again all of the qb's in this years draft dont feel right either

"The likely trade partner would be the Arizona Cardinals at pick No. 3, if the pass rusher they like is available."

The Kansas City Chiefs want a pass rusher, per
@TonyPauline
.

More momentum for KC to do a deal with AZ.

: Ty Simpson's odds have skyrocketed over the last couple of days to be drafted by the Cardinals.

Arizona views Simpson as the Top QB in the class.

Ty would THRIVE in the Grand Canyon State

We traded a fifth for Kenyan Drake. He was 25 years old at the time and had three healthy seasons.

Tank Digsby yielded a sixth round pick. As did Brian Robinson. None of these are especially valuable assets. All of them had superior prospects to Benson or Conner.

I never said we would get a 2nd round pick. I said they could be traded.

Benson would get a late 5th or 6th no bother. Main concern here is medicals.

Your underselling Conner. He's highly regarded around the league. Again, a 5th should be achievable.

But either way, you could move both for something.

Are the Cards dumb enough to think he's the top QB in the draft? Eh, probably. Oh Monti!

Per
@TonyPauline
, it's unlikely that the Arizona Cardinals draft Arvell Reese at pick #3.

"They view him as a hybrid defender versus a pure edge rusher, and the Cardinals have bombed on hybrid selections in the past."

I don't know where else to put this.

How do we feel about Caleb Banks in round 2? Huge potential. Has had a lot of injury issues.

All day long, but I'd be surprised if he is still there. The left foot thing is a concern though.

I am curious to see how comfortable teams are with it for sure. If they are comfortable, he should be a 1st rounder.

I would think they see it as a poorly managed initial injury. It's not a great top end DT class and he's one of the few that stand out.

Tony usually has good info. He’s connected to several current scouts.

Then why can't the Cards have a pass rusher?

Several evaluators characterize him as similar to Purdy. That fits MLF’s likely offensive scheme.

The Jets are expected to take Texas Tech EDGE David Bailey at No. 2, per
@TonyPauline

“Almost everyone from the league that I spoke with on Monday told me that the word is the Jets will use the second pick of the draft on David Bailey.”

Think OT, but it’s confusing.
If Joe Thomas or a Quentin Nelson were available I would understand. But the Miami or has a disc problem. Fano has short arms????
ML likes Simpson but not at 3 right?
Love just seems to be closest to a sure thing.
But I’m always wrong. Remember when you told me about Isabela?

If we trade with the Chiefs I’m convinced we will draft Simpson with the 9th pick.
We will trade down and take a bunch of mid players. MO is under pressure and risk averse. This will be seen by him as the "safe" play as it gets him more chances to "hit" on a player.
