Not Thibedeaux, but I’d be real interested in Dexter Lawrence.

He has two years remaining on his current deal at $18 million per year.
Thibedeaux is a head case. Talented but real undisciplined. Not what we need.

Unfortunately the Lawrence trade request is probably just a negotiating tactic. I expect the Giants to resign him.

The #Giants and star DL Dexter Lawrence, who have been talking about a new big-money extension, have reached an impasse, sources say.

The Giants have engaged with teams on a potential trade and that will continue. It should come to a head before the Draft.

Teams interested in trading for #Giants DT Dexter Lawrence are under the impression the Giants won’t entertain any deal that doesn’t include a 1st-round pick and possibly more.

When the #Jets traded Quinnen Williams, they received a 1st in 2027 and a 2nd in 2026 from Dallas.

#Giants DT Dexter Lawrence no longer wants a contract with the team and wants to be traded, per
@NYPost_Schwartz. Talks are considered past the point of continuing.

"If Dexter had his wish, he will not suit up for the Giants again."

And I wish I had a $90m contract

The #Giants’ situation with All-Pro DT Dexter Lawrence is not in a good place and has not been for a while. While money is a big part of it, another element is that Lawrence has seen many players leave the organization over the years. He’s stayed quiet, been a good soldier, and tried to be a team guy.

So when it became clear last year that he had outplayed his contract and it was time for a new deal, the organization not taking it so seriously felt like a slap in the face. That has continued this offseason.

In the words of one source: “He understands what those players who were shown the door by the Giants felt.”

The #Bengals are expected to hammer out a significant long-term deal with DT Dexter Lawrence as part of the trade, once he passes his physical, per sources.

A very un-Bengals move … but this is a changing organization. And their actions confirm it.

#NFL TRADE

#Bengals Acquire
DL Dexter Lawrence
2026: $20M
2027: $19.5M

#Giants Acquire
2026 1st-Rd Pick (#10)

NY takes on $13.9M of dead cap, freeing $13M of space & now hold the #5 & #10 picks in next week's draft.

Lawrence projects toward a 3 year, $82M extension in our system.

Talking to several coaches around the NFL right now ... they are STUNNED the #Giants got what they did for Dexter Lawrence.

All agree: Very good player, but not worth No. 10.

Age, injury and concerns regarding his conditioning pointed out. Also that you need to limit the number of snaps he plays to maximize his production; really just a one position player.

Needless to say: Great return for #NYG.

The steep prices paid by the Bengals for Dexter Lawrence underscores two important points about this draft class:

This is not a strong draft at the top. The lack of blue chippers is well-established.

This draft is extremely thin at defensive tackle.

Yes, why would you want a proven, high caliber DT when you can get a pile of magic beans instead.

I'll bet right now the #10 pick in the draft doesn't have a career nearly as good as Lawrence. Great get by the Bengals.

Sad thing is, now, even the Bengals front office is better than the Cards. The "cash poor" Bengals have now signed Joe Burrow, JaMar Chase, Tee Higgins, franchised Hendrickscon last year, and are now going to pay for Lawrence. In comparison, Monti has signed Gardner Minshew, Zay Jones, Tyler Allegeier, let Zach Allen walk, and brought back Roy Lopez.
