I'd be surprised if Grayson DIDN'T play in this game. He would be a boost, but definitely not enough to cover Book's slump.

Dillon getting off to a quicker start would help as well. But still confused as all hell why Mark Williams didn't play in the 4th quarter. That makes no sense, although I think it was interesting that Ott used Dunn in that Blazer game. Most here were thinking he wouldn't be in the rotation, even with his strong performance in the final regular season game. So Ott is doing SOME adapting, just not the right ones.
the overall lack of Williams down the stretch in games down the stretch of the season, has been beyond peculiar. When we were at our best, he was at least somewhat stuffing the middle of paint for us. Now we just leak like a sieve from the second he's taken out to the end of the game.

I'm not sure how you can have that confidence the way we've ended the season and 4th quarters and the magical way the Warriors turned back the clock last night.
I think it's because they got their magical night and being as old AND as banged up as they are, it'll be really tough to do that again on short rest.

What happened to the NBA? Why is a 45 win team playing a 37 win team to see who plays the #1 seed? How long have they been doing this. The Suns were the 8 seed and the top 8 used to be in. Not a one game standoff to see who gets in by a team that won 8 less games in the RS? I mean, what’s the point of getting the best record in the regular season then?

it was to try and discourage tanking so that a team like GS wouldn't just fold up their tent 15 games ago when they had no shot and just start sitting everyone out to tank... give more teams a crack at the apple... and of course more revenue.

and so far, a 7 seed has never blown the opportunity to make the playoffs, always playing not just one, but two inferior teams at home to try and make it. But when there's an Arizona sports team will to fall flat on their face, there's always a way for them to make horrific history, like so many of our beloathed teams before them.

Get a top 6 seed and you don't have to worry about the play in.

This is a way to keep the top 10 teams fanbases in each conference invested instead of just the top 8. Personally I like it, because the best 8 teams at the time are the ones likely to be in the playoffs.

I'm not sure you need masterminds to accomplish that.
I think Oso is much more valuable in a matchup like the warriors. Their centers are more likely to hit a 3 than score inside, he is the best guy we have for switching.

Suns injury report vs. Warriors:QUESTIONABLE: Mark Williams (left foot soreness) and Grayson Allen (left hamstring strain) #Suns #DubNation
that would explain why williams wasn't getting back on d - why he didn't even smell the 4th quarter - and ultimately why we can't pay him in the offseason

Yeah, I am completely off the Mark Williams band wagon. You can't rely on him to be available, and even when he is available he's not really that impactful.

At least Maluach seems to provide some real rim protection.

we need williams the most right now in the play-in but he can't hold up - it's been like that since he started playing back to backs - im still glad we took a flyer on him

I like Oso on the Suns roster but he should be like the Suns 3-4th center and break glass only in an emergency option.

He shouldn't be the backup center.

I largely agree with one caveat. The Warriors tend to lose because of turnovers so it was insane to me we won last night having had 20 of them and a bunch of them live ball ones. But I think they had 4 in the fourth quarter and only 1 in like the last 8 minutes.

They did go 19-41 from 3, I don't see that happening again

you can't throw any more money at Mark Williams. And Grayson just can't be depended on either and he's probably our only tradable asset to try and get some or a pick.

I'd completely forgotten this but I just saw it on youtube. The very first basket of Draymond's NBA career was a 3 pointer, and he got a T for taunting after making it.

No idea if true but one of the Warriors sites online is reporting Porzingas might miss the game. If you recall he injured his ankle late in the game and limped off after doing so.

I have no idea if it's true not being widely reported

I think the 7 seed should be in the playoffs. There’s no benefit to a 7 seed playing a play-in for a spot they already worked for over 82 games. 8-9-10 can improve their seeding. The 7 seed can only stay at their current seeding or fall.

The play in should be for the last playoff spot. 8-9 matchup. Whoever loses should play the 10 seed. That game should be for better lottery odds so that way you can still get rewarded for not making the playoffs by getting a higher draft pick.

It’s a grab and I get it. But a 37 win team making the playoffs over a team with 8 more wins than them kinda defeats the purpose of the regular season.

This game is huge for Booker; he'll be under maximum pressure, can't wait to see how he responds. He needs to score 40 in a Win.

pregame speech: “ok guys, let’s give it our all tonight! Leave it all out there! How badly to you want to play four more games after this!?”

We all know too well that he crumbles under pressure. And I’d rather he scores 15 but gets the rest of the team involved. The same goes for Green.
