OK, tell me I'm wrong. Maluach had 9 rebounds. He grabbed an offensive rebound, and tried to put it back in the basket, was fouled and went to the line and hit two free throws. He ended the game with 9 rebounds. Was that rebound off a missed shot not a rebound?

game was in cruise control the whole time - i just watched the spacing and rhythm the whole time - maluach is going to be good - really enjoyed watching him play his heart out

My guess is the Suns will look for sign and trades if the price tag is too expensive.

Gillespie has been lowering his free agent price of late but it could still be high.

He was much more smooth on the FT shot to start the season. Now he's trying to "dart" them into the hoop, ala Brooks. Gotta shut that part of Brooks' influence down! LOL! That Brooks was on him to be more aggressive, was another reason Brooks was worth bringing to the team. Brooks influence on Oso has paid off big time.

Gillespie is going to be resigned. Gambo is sure of it. Ball Handler. Three point volume shot maker, who can play off either Booker or Green. He's not going anywhere.

We have Highsmith, O'Neale, Goodwin, Coffey, Livers, etc. No way we keep all those guys. We have Fleming developing, and he's going to start taking some of those minutes. Maybe even leap frog some of those guys into the starters role next season. Fleming just keeps sticking the threes and blocking shots. Fleming playing some decent D as a rookie. Of course his size and athleticism beats all those previously mentioned guys.

Minimally, I think the Suns will try to do a sign and trade with Williams. Letting him walk for nothing would really hurt because the Suns gave up two first round picks to get him. Of course, they can't control what other teams offer. The injury doesn't help help his value.

I think at the end of the day, he will be cheap enough to retain. He's had his best season here. There was an injury thing, it might have been his foot, that Olsen feels may have been the reason his play tailed off after the first two months. Olsen thinks he was just trying to play through it. We have interest in that we did use those two first round picks. IDK what other teams will think about him. Every team we play in the Western Conference seems like they have multiple 7 footers playing now. His size would mean more to us, than possibly other teams right now.

If only the Suns had signed Gillespie to a four year contract before he blossomed like I wanted. Then the Suns wouldn't be in this financial quandary. I know the Suns want to keep him.

I would be more impressed with the Suns if they do let him walk for nothing, rather than tryin to overpay, AGAIN, after overpaying the first time using draft capital on him. It would signal they are getting smarter. The real worry is have is Olsen was saying our 2027 and 2032 picks will be tradable this off season. That scares me because at least the 2032, you could argue Booker may or may not be on the team at that point, so trade it for a piece to win now. Me, I'd rather get out of the game of throwing draft capital at trades for guys. In recent history, it has not paid off for us.

williams is a starter when healthy - plumlee is hot garbage - i see williams going to a team with a great center that is often injured

Never can have enough rotation big men. Those pieces are not replaceable when injuries hit late in the season. Depth big men probably go for around $5 million if a team is patient.

Ultimately, if we kept Williams, you would want to see if any of these guys could play some minutes as a "PF." Rasheer will evenbtually be the starter at PF. The dream would be Maluch as Center. That leaves Oso and Williams. Either could be a back up center. The ideal is if you could put both these guys on the court in the second unit. Oso has no jumper. Williams hasn't shown much spot up jumper ability either. So both guys have to have low post positioning. We would need one of them to be able to spread the floor. If Williams could develop an average three point shot, it would be ideal.

I don't follow Gambo or Olson much except on twitter so I mostly form my own opinions. They are informed though. I do my research. Now, I really enjoyed Gerald Bourguet but I do not have a subscription to his new site.

The Suns off season moves will be shaped by the CBA and the players they want to keep the most. At least it won't be because the owner is unwilling to pay the price. It could get tricky so that's where the Suns might have to trade a player they would prefer to keep. We will have to wait and see what the market is for these players.

I was asking about this year. I think the Suns are better with Williams and ManMan but Oso has his pluses. Free throws are what brings him down
