Guys, if you expect 0-17, you can only be correct or pleasantly surprised. It’s a nice place to be.
Now that’s crazy talk everyone of us would be thrilled if that happenedI forgot to add.... I am a pessimistic person by nature but some of you guys are just plain negative! It wouldn't matter what the team did. Bidwill could sell the team to anyone and you'd find reason to be unhappy!
Not entirely true. If you expect and WANT 0-17 you can be disappointed with 4-13. You know you can’t win as a Cardinal fan. We had our chance for the number one overall pick for the only time in Cardinals history and had the luck to not have a top QB available.Guys, if you expect 0-17, you can only be correct or pleasantly surprised. I'd like to thank Ouchie for this tremendous honor, but I couldn't have got here without all the guidance and help of so many members of this forum. I know I'll leave some of you out but thank you, Ouchie, cheese, oaken1, K9, 602, shane, jf-08 especially for taking the heat for "fine dining", Brian in Mesa "BIM", DBack Jon for nailing the "some dumb guy" best response and I can't leave out Chop 08, I appreciate your concise and thoughtful posts and that guy in your picture looks like a nice enough guy...but, you can do so much better. You supplanted 11. He was our go to humor mill. He’ll still toss a gem once in awhile, but you’ve been a comedic breath of fresh air. Much needed to break the tension around these parts.
You have earned permission to place “Ouchie Certified Humorist” in your signature until I rescind the award.
Fair point! Not entirely true. If you expect and WANT 0-17 you can be disappointed with 4-13. You know you can’t win as a Cardinal fan. We had our chance for the number one overall pick for the only time in Cardinals history and had the luck to not have a top QB available.
I feel these are two good signings considering. Now we have a little more depth at both positions.
The good times ARE BACK!Monti hasn't had landed free agents like this since he signed Nichols and Jones.
It’s obvious why they cut him & it wasn’t because of on the field.
You do realize they just spent their way into a Super Bowl appearance, an accomplishment we've had once in our entire existence?
It's just hilarious that our biggest cheerleaders criticize other teams that actually find a way to accomplish something. Just a total loser mentality.
But the same could be said of draft picks. Trades are the only “safer” route to acquire talent. But that comes with a monetary and draft capital cost and you still end up with the kolbs of the world now and again. They cut him because he wouldn't restructure his deal. Which means they didn't think his performance justified what they were paying him after only 27 ypg in the playoffs.
They ate $10m in dead cap rather than keep him.
I consider that a loss, albeit a marginal one.
But the point stands, a higher percentage of top dollar FAs bust than earn their pay.
Uh, what part about "they made it to the Super Bowl" don't you get? They cut him because he wouldn't restructure his deal. Which means they didn't think his performance justified what they were paying him after only 27 ypg in the playoffs.

Not sure what I'm not understanding. Are you saying KM doesn't count. We had our chance for the number one overall pick for the only time in Cardinals history and had the luck to not have a top QB available.
Unless you think Kyler's a top QB, he absolutely doesn't count. Not sure what I'm not understanding. Are you saying KM doesn't count.
I’ve been to 5 of those, although can’t say I’ve had a burrito at every one of themI was the one that made a general statement about people (yes, used the word "YOU" which was not directed it to anyone). If I offended anyone directly, I apologize. Please accept my apology!
In my opinion, the two guys we signed are better than the ones being replaced – hence better-quality depth. If you don’t agree, that’s fine.
If we are now talking about food now, Burrito Wars are going on in Phoenix and we are down to the Elite 8 as follows:
- Asardero Norte de Sonora vs The Beach House
- Elmer's Tacos vs Chula Seafood
- Tacos Chiwas vs Ta'Carbon
- Los Dos Molinos vs PHX Burrito House.
I don't know anything about 7 of them so I'll go with Los Dos Molinos who is famous for some spicy New Mexico chilis. Good stuff right there! Let me know which of the other 7 I should try!
BannedDude you are officially my favorite poster.
Don't threaten me with a good time.the problem is the people that hide behind the keyboard. Guarantee he wouldnt call someone a "cheerleader" to their face.
I know, I went too far. I apologize.Banned
WIt's a totally outdated mindset to believe you can't improve your team in FA.
Worst ever, I'm pretty sure we have had worse.LOL. The annual “it doesn’t matter what the perennially awful management does and even though there is almost record of them doing anything consistently good, you would all be unhappy if they did” post… coming on the heels of the worst season in franchise history, no less and a DECADE of being a complete and utter joke… or worse… an afterthought.
I mean, you realize you’re castigating fans who just witnessed the worst Cardinals season ever, which is being followed up by us having the best odds to be the WORST TEAM AGAIN next year, right… in a thread where we’re signing journeymen to fill important roles on an abysmal defense?
Don't forget who sold you those tickets IIRC at no markupSee here’s where your comments attacking other posters are totally misguided. When we went to the Super Bowl our family (and that includes cheese) bought plane tickets to Tampa BEFORE the eagles NFC Championship game. People just looking to be angry don’t look at things optimistically. Though you may not want to admit, some in the bars are realistic. We look at the good, recognize it and celebrate it. We look at the bad, recognize it, and castigate the franchise for it. We look at the stuff in the middle and question it. With the volume of bad evidence this organization has stacked up over the years it should not only be reasonable, but expected, for realists to question everything - but we don’t. We celebrate the good. Signed Josh sweat? Mostly celebration on this board. For some reason some posters want everything to be fireworks and balloons with every move the organization makes (yes that’s hyperbole). Just doesn’t compute.
I'm hurtDude you are officially my favorite poster.
By finishing 3-14 in 2025, the Cardinals lost more games in a season than ever before in their history. They had their worst winning percentage since 1959, when they were in Chicago and finished 2-10.Worst ever, I'm pretty sure we have had worse.
We only came out of it with the #3 pick, even I remember getting a #1.
There has to be worse seasons
worst part is that it still didnt even feel as bad as 18....By finishing 3-14 in 2025, the Cardinals lost more games in a season than ever before in their history. They had their worst winning percentage since 1959, when they were in Chicago and finished 2-10.
The fact that as embarrassingly bad as they were, they still didn't get the #1 pick because of tie-breakers vs. two other teams that were tanking - in a draft with likely only one viable franchise QB candidate - only makes it even worse.
Technically not the worst season in "franchise" history, since the Chicago Cardinals went 0-10 in 1944, but certainly the worst in St. Louis + Arizona Cardinals history and the worst in 66 years.
Yes. He didn’t end up being a top QB. So one wasn’t available. Here’s that QB class:Not sure what I'm not understanding. Are you saying KM doesn't count.
We’ve literally never lost 14 games in a season, Sandan. That’s the worst season ever. Especially because it set us up for an as bad if not worse successive season.W
