It would seem to me that teams interested in KM would wait for him to be released and then pursue signing him.

Then they can do the Russ one year deal at a bargain price to see how it goes.
I'd be surprised if the Cards just release him.

Because you are think he’ll be traded by March 13 or because they’d rather take on the additional guarantees than lost him for nothing?
My thinking is that if they want to move him they'll find a trading partner. Might not get the 2nd round pick they want but they'll get something.

I honestly cannot see that they are going to just release Murray! That is a lot of cap for nothing. From what I saw on the sidelines for the last few games, Kyler was actually an okay teammate. Maybe he likes getting paid to sit on the bench or maybe he is maturing and sees this as a slap in the face.

As a sooner fan, I was excited but now I'd just prefer he go somewhere else. That being said, he is still a QB that can be ranked in the middle of the pack (maybe 12-15) AND we don't have a better option. Flacco, Willis, Brissett, maybe Cousins if he gets releasted but nothing makes me want to go out and get excited.

We always questioned why Gannon didn’t insist on more RPO’s. Maybe ML knows exactly how to utilize Murrays skill set.
Don’t kill me here. It’s simply a thought.
I think people know how to use Murray's skill set but they also know that it doesn't generate consistent success.

Kyler ran off the coach who had him in a system that actually suited him, and a similar system to LaFleur's got the HC and OC fired.

He is a square peg in a round hole when it comes to a timing and rhythm offense. Stop trying to make fetch happen, it's never going to happen.

I agree. I know not everybody shares the opinion on Willis but I’d be way more excited anticipating what he would bring.

"As CBS Sports' Joel Corry notes, Murray's situation will need to come to a head before March 15th (the fifth day of the 2026 league year), as that's when his $19.7 million base salary for 2027 becomes fully guaranteed," Sullivan writes. "With that in mind, this potential trade could come together early in the offseason. Another factor that could drive a Murray trade is that the quarterback class at the 2026 NFL Draft isn't particularly strong, so teams may be more inclined to target a veteran like Murray. As for a possible return, the Seahawks secured a third-round pick in exchange for Geno Smith a year ago. When healthy, Murray is a much more talented quarterback, so the Cardinals should be looking at an earlier Day 2 pick in the form of a second-rounder."

You mentioned like 5 stinking players, with two of them in their mid to late 30’s when they got here. If you want, I’ll go back in time and exceed 100 players where the opposite is true. Silly argument when your taking the side of this franchise in any discussion about player development.
I don't think anyone will argue with you that the Bidwill's are cheap and have always been cheap. They don't pay as much for coaches, scouting, GMs facilities as most teams do. But when they actually do find great players, they can shine despite the cheapness of the organization. You can go back in time and find alot of successful players. Did we luck into them because our scouting is horrible? probably, but they still shined once they were here. The problem is its very hard to have any type of sustained success when you depend on getting lucky in player acquisition. If a player is good, he is going to be good regardless. How many players have been crappy here and gone on to be stars elsewhere? While i'm sure it has happened I don't think its been that often. If a player is bad here, its because he's bad.

My bet is that Monti and Bidwill, M. queried as to whether a coach would want to work with Kyler or not and, when the candidate said no, were fine with that.
You guys have no idea what MO and Bidwill, M. said about K1.
You also have zero clue how MLF feels about him.

All of this will play out either way but your wet dreams might turn into nightmares. :Dold

I know it’s tough guys to come up on the new way news is communicated but you will have to eventually start to understand.

It’s like when your parents told you the typewriter was no way to write a proper letter.

Kyler Murray has been in the league for 7 seasons. If he could be a timing and rhythm passer, he would have demonstrated that by now. It's just not in his skillset.

Now do Super Bowl QB Sam Darnold.
The only offenses he has been successful in are the Shanahan/McVay timing and rhythm offenses. Just like the only offense Kyler has been successful in is the spread/rpo offense.

Kyler can do things that Darnold can't do just like Darnold can do things that Kyler can't do. They are different style/skill set QBs. I don't understand the point you think you are making.
