Whoever the Cards pick as the new HC, I would not be surprised to see them go 2-15 next year, with or without KM. How could anyone be surprised if that happens, with Bidwill as the owner?

I'd be down with that. Next year's QB crop should be ripe.

Let's get #1 without trading up the farm.

I think that Kubiak will pick the Raiders because owner Mark Davis will give him an offer he can't refuse. I'm not trying to be critical of Bidwill on this either. Mark Davis is a nut and will break the bank to get Kubiak. Remember he signed Jon Gruden for a 10 year $100 million contract in 2018. Davis has no other options at this point and hopefully the Cardinals do in LaFleur. Just my simple opinion.

Let’s just pray that LaFleur doesn’t tell us to F off after we get the word that Kubiak has told us to F off.
He’s an OC that’s never successfully called plays. If the Rams fall back to earth next year for whatever reason his star won’t be as bright. He’ll wait for 1 of 32.

I had Kubiak …Saleh and lefleur as my top 3 when this process kicked off so I would be thrilled with the hire

I heard some analysts talk about that (forgot who it was). His point was that it would be stupid to let the quality of the division have any kind of influence, and I agree. Look at the NFC North. Pretty much everyone thought it would be a tough division, but that didn’t come true. The same with the AFC North where suddenly Burrow and Lamar Jackson got injured, so their teams crumbled. Who’s to say that couldn't happen in the NFC West, or what if in a year, Sean McVay chooses to take a break (like the rumor was some years ago). What if Seattle’s offense comes down to earth if Kubiak leaves? The point is that the NFL is ever-changing and unpredictable. Wild things happen all the time.
My exact thoughts Gandhi. I was thinking this when Robert Saleh accepted the Titans job. That division is pretty good now and may well be the league’s best in the near future. And our division may be crap then (it wasn’t exactly great in 2024). Who knows what’s ahead?

Okay, while I wait for an announcement (and grow old), here’s my list of Why Someone Should Become Our HC:

1) There’s nowhere to go but up
2) Upgraded WiFi + overpriced casitas in the stadium!
3) Empty seats can’t boo
4) Plenty of time to enjoy a vacation or catch up on projects around the house each January
5) Very few weeks that include a game outside of Sunday, such as in prime time or on another day of the week
6) You don’t have to worry about securing game tickets for friends or family members since they won’t want to attend the games
7) Working for us ensures your career won’t be boring since you’ll be on to another job within just a few years
8) You’ll make new friends when hiring assistants since all the good ones you know will have already been hired by the organizations that didn’t wait until February to hire their HC
9) No need to waste time scouting or discussing quality free agent acquisitions since we don’t sign these players
10) You’ll typically face a last-place schedule each season (because you’ll finish last)
11) Bonus reason: having to tell others that you’ve finished “in the cellar” will help make the toasty Arizona summers a bit more pleasant because the term “cellar” will put you in mind of a place that’s cool and damp

Feel free to look up the division from the year before and analyze if the division has gotten better, worse or the same. It's not difficult.
Mostly they weren’t playing the NFC South this year, but the division went from having 45 wins last year to 37. It also went from the worst team having five wins to the worst team having 9.

The NFC North was really good. Arguably better than last year, but it’s real difficult to argue worse.

He’d be exactly where he started this year.

The fact it just ended(no idea when it started) doesn’t bode well for the Cards I wouldn’t think.
