Isn't K1 really our best option for QB1 for 2026?
I’m guessing Kyler told Gannon that he was done playing for this crappy organization and wants a fresh start elsewhere. I don’t see any possible way he is on the team next year.

Imo Kyler is done in Arizona. Both him and the team need a fresh start.

New coach cant risk wasting a year trying to make K1 work. K1 cant risk Bidwill blowing it on the next HC.

Only way he'd want to stay is if the Jets were his only alternative. It shouldnt be so they can continue to move on.
Keeping Kyler doesn’t “waste” Bidwill’s money buying him out.
Here’s a problem we will discuss. Will Kyler pout if we take a qb in the second round?

the only was kyler stays is if monti was successfully able to stay our of the benching drama - other wise kyler would still be disgruntled

i just don't see it - if kyler took his problems upstairs over gannon's head and didn't get the support he felt he deserved... kyler might be mad

not to mention monti never squashed the reports of kyler being gone from arizona in 2026 - and to top it all off i don't think kyler's agent (who's also still getting paid regardless) wants him here

How do we know it’s a new training staff? Didn’t they retain Kingsbury’s training staff?

No, JG brought in his own crew and essentially forced Buddy into retirement.

Shea Thompson is in his third season with the Cardinals after joining the team as Director, Football Performance on 3/1/23.
He came to Arizona in 2023 from the San Francisco 49ers where he spent four years (2019-22) as the director of performance monitoring/assistant strength & conditioning. During his four years with San Francisco, the 49ers played in three NFC Championship games (2021-22, '19) and advanced to Super Bowl LIV following his first season with the team in 2019.
Evan Marcus is in his 19th season in the NFL and third as the Cardinals head strength and conditioning coach. He came to Arizona in 2023 after spending the previous seven seasons (2016-22) with the Cleveland Browns as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

I’ve been down this path so frequently to count. The NFL stands for Not For Long lol. I stand by my support for Gannon, but I’m a Cardinal fan first and foremost. My hope now is that we look for an offensive minded HC. Bidwill will always remain the biggest hurdle for this franchise. Our best chance is a few lucky hires here and there, but we’ll never see steady success until the Bidwills sell this franchise.

Why do I have a feeling the Cards will pick another "potential guy" for Head Coach and try and reset with Kyler only for it to be another rinse and repeat of the last 7?

Dearl Lord I hope not but I won't be surprised with this ownership.

That's interesting. The Niners always seem like a MASH unit, so not sure how good a hire someone from their training department is.

Yep. My friend was the other strength coach and was forced out. Buddy was retained because of his strong ties to Bidwill, but he was nothing more than a figurehead.

I could see it. If he feels he's a lame duck QB.

Again if the Jets are the other alternative (and they'll take a QB as well) then yea he'd probably just put on a good front.

And if Monti is pushing for a new QB I think Bidwill will listen and move on.

Yup, I read that some of the players work with Buddy in the off season on their own
