In his last press conference he was asked why is Stafford so successful?
His answer was, in this order:
Weapons.
Play calling.(goodbye Petzing?)
Offensive line.(Monti help!!!)

Hmmm.

I do find it very funny that a single injury to their OL caused Stafford to turn into a complete pumpkin against the Falcons.

The backup OT that played that game was DJ Humphries.

It just seems the Cards are the Kevin Bacon of the NFL but only when it comes to showing the cards in a bad way.

I had high hopes for him in the beginning, the way players played hard for him, now the losses just keep piling up & he stands there, with his arms folded & says nothing, makes him look totally clueless. Looking back on the first couple years, alot of those guys were backups & ps players so yeah, they played hard because of fighting for a spot. I really don't know if firing Gannon is the answer or not but it's looking more like keeping him isn't the solution either. It'll be interesting to see if he stays & actually has the balls to fire DP or NR, both his buddies lol?

Watching him postgame each week I was thinking either he has been told he is ok or he has resided himself to the fact he is gone. Saying every week we have to coach better but things keep getting worse seems like an admission that we all suck. Or it is just saying whatever and getting the interview over with. Now I am about certain he will be back.

For me it all depends on how he evolves and grows.

when you hire a first time HC there are growing pains. dude has to learn the job...but then he has to evaluate and adapt...and sometimes a guy has to learn to do things he finds distasteful or that go against his code...some guys can make the adjustments and others cant.
but in hiring a new guy we at least have to give him the opportunity to make those adjustments.....otherwise we should never hire a first time HC

Well , it’s all coming out now.
Gannon is buddying up with Kyler. It appears Petzing is the fall guy, perhaps deservedly so.
PEW! PEW!! Here we go.

Do you want him back as our HC next season?

Am I missing something here? Buddying up with Kyler? I'm so depressed with the Cardinals right now I haven't read many articles or listened to podcasts of theirs. So Kyler & Gannon will probably stay?

I'm kinda indifferent on the subject.
Can we get better? Or are we just changing for the sake of change? Going with another first time HC that has to go through growing pains we just went through?

Change the coach. Develop the coach.
Whatever. But the continuous cycle of uncertainty needs to stop.

We don't have to go for another first time HC though. I totally get what you're saying about keeping on changing the HC & it's a constant turnover with the same growing pains. However, Gannon needs to do something different if he stays on, omg, when the Cardinals are playing like $#!+, he just stands there with his arms folded & says nothing, it drives me nuts, like, go get in someone's $#!+.

Except he was given that chance… THIS YEAR. The time to make adjustments were in the offseason after last season’s craptacular collapse during the second half. And they DID make adjustments… with game plans to be as conservative as humanly possible on D, and play even more conservative with an offense that the league figured out last year. Then we saw the results, looking like dog-snot at 2-3 before injuries even really played a role in the season.

Totally out of sync coaching staff that runs a vanilla offense and defense

To bring them back and expect different results is......
