No, the Ravens at 1-5 would fit this narrative better, bc once Lamar comes back they will actually win games.

The question isn't are we a good team but just cursed.

It's has any team ever been 2-5 with such a small point differential? Has any team ever lost 5 games of 7 by 4 points or less? Especially in a row.

I think the answer might be no to all 3.

ive been a changed man since watching charlie wilson's war - there's a scene where the guy keeps saying "we'll see"

this season has been a disaster - this player is a bust - this coach needs to be fired... we'll see

one thing ive been privately thinking about is the double dip - usually happens to teams with fresh playoff dreams then they lose a qb or something and boom - they're drafting top 10 again alongside the actual inferior teams

we can argue about the current talent level on this roster til we're blue in the face - there's kinda nothing better to do but who couldn't use a top 5 (yes ive dropped to #5 already) draft pick

if we want to get away from kyler murray than sucking ass this season might be the best route - there are no playoffs only draft spots - we are already all but guaranteed 4th place in the nfc west

bring kyler and the 2 condom offense back for the last 10 games - just to make sure it's him and not us ;)

nothing but the 4 man fronts from here on out - practice makes perfect - we're actually getting better at it

no more brissett- put him on thr practice squad lol

Unfortunately I don’t think we’re cursed at all, we just have extremely poor coaching.

I saw this stat yesterday about how our defense in quarters 1 - 3 is ranked 4th overall. Whereas we’re dead last in quarter 4. This is coaching. We’ve given up 78 total points through the first 3 quarters & 76 in the 4th. The decisions have been a train wreck.

I really think keeping Klayton Adams has us undefeated right now.
Our line is just a touch....less...at everything they do and it affects the entire offense.
Had they even stayed the same as last year we probably have 6 wins...but what we couldn't afford was for the most dependable room on our offense to regress across the board.
That lost yards before contact makes all the difference in our running game.
Limited effect on the long runs....but our grind it out 4 yard runs have become grind it out 3 yard runs even before RB1 and RB2 went down
No. I get everyone is pissed at how this year has gone, but in my opinion even so it is clear this coaching staff is better than Kliff's.

Stacked was probably the wrong word...people have said that the roster has enough talent to win. I still question that.

We lost 5 games by an average of less than 3 points per game, 3 of them walk off FG's. Of course we have the talent to win.

Odds all of these potential difference makers play in the same game one time the rest of the way?
Zero chance for Tip and Conner, but if we were looking from Week 1 it seems like a more talented group.

Obviously this team is better with their top 2 RBs.

Kind of sort of relatively speaking I guess.

no team goes through a season without missing starters

the question is: is the Cards injury situation worse than average. It is, especially now on offense.

but that doesn't change the fact that a NFL average for health defense had a chance to close out the last two games vs good teams and couldn't get 1 stop / limit a drive to a FG.

this team is confounding. good enough to be leading in the 4th quarter in 6 of 7 games and tied with :28 secs left in the 7th. No good enough to close out 5 of them.

this chart captures this:

Interesting that not having top two backs may have changed play-calling and opened still bad offense?
Hasn't seemed to effect our scoring - averaging more points without our top two backs, but different QB could skew those results as well.

We were a team built around a ground and pound run game, and we haven't been able to run the ball effectively the entire year.

i think that is possible

i also think that while Will H hasnt been good -- he has been a big upgrade from Isiah Adams. JB has had a pocket to hang in on as a result.

Positive effect on scoring? Ground and pound is dumb.
