SO: if the Cards want to move off of Murray, a trade is probably the best bet.

in a trade -- the Cards probably have to pay the 2026 option bonus of $17mm, but then the acquiring team gets a QB with a 2026 salary of ~$23mm, which is low 20s in terms of rank. The 2027 salary number is also $22mm or so -- and then after that the guaranteed money is gone.

so -- a team that needs a qb and has lots of cap space can take a (relatively) low cost flyer on a QB that they can easily move on from should he not work out.

In that scenario-- the Cards pick up (based on my calcs) about $17mm in cap space in '26 and $45mm or so in '27.
How about the Jets and the can dump Breece Hall on us.

Thanks for being honest.

Sad most that feel this way won't say it.
This routine is so tired.

Most people think he's a good guy that hasn't worked out here for a variety of reasons. I don't think most people here harbor ill will towards Kyler, just that our expectations were that it would at least be entertaining at worst, and that he'd play as a QB worthy of the #1 overall pick.

Outside of a few spectacular plays, he's been mostly boring, and somehow he continues to get worse. It's more than time to move on and to realize the experiment has failed.

Its so tired that a poster comes out and says what I have been saying since the off season.

Just own it. No one will fault you, I get it.

I like Kyler as a person. He seems to be a nice person who has given back. But because he hasn't put the work in to be great could wear on some people. I fall into the thought of we took a shot on him and it failed, as will more than likely result in the same or worse situation after he's gone.

I don't hate anyone. I sadly disappointed in that I believe K1 has the talent to be great just not will to do what it takes to get there. So I hate that he didn't give his teammates, coaches, and fans the chance to witness greatness.
