As for me, I prefer opening the season on the road. Same way if we win the toss I prefer to defer. After the first game, I look at it as having a schedule edge. In fact I wish we were playing the first two away. But, I admit I'm in the minority.

Come on Thursday, what a week we get this week. NFL Thursday and Friday night. College football all week basically, and then the main event on Sunday

I'm judging MMA on Saturday night in Waukesha Wisconsin, it's one of my favorite shows to do. Great fights and a big card. So I'll miss some college football on Saturday. But totally worth it.

When we played at SDS we literally never had the first game at home. I think even with a domed stadium the NFL still schedules us away for game 1 because of the extreme heat. You would think it would be 50-50 alternating years but it has never been that way for us.

Week 1 is always the most unpredictable of the entire NFL season. Especially when it comes to what are going to be bad teams overachieving.

I can't remember a trap game this early in the season but here comes one already. Hope they are prepared to play.

My family are saints fans who have been saying this. Meanwhile I have told them anything can happen and it would not surprise me if the Saints made this game close and even won.

But I will be traveling down from St Louis with family to watch this game.

Exactly! I remember a Cardinals team that had been stripped to the bone and brought in a last minute no name QB who ended up taking down a heavily favored Cowboys team.
