When it's obvious that people ranking rosters have zero clue about the rosters they are ranking, I have a problem with that.

You also kind of implying the Packers are bereft of talent, tells me you may not have a clue either;-)

What position you want to start with as we compare the Packers and Cardinals rosters?

Scared? Just kidding
Yeah all right. If you wanna trumpet that second rate USFL roster in here its all good. everyone is undefeated in the pre season right?

Start with Punter.

if we're gonna go at it with opposing fans we should do so with fans from better teams - #higherstandards because nobody gaf about the packers - they aren't winning anything - green bay lives under detroit's rule - divisional contenders only

they made the critical mistake of hanging on to ARod about three years too long. Just like Pittsburgh did with Ben.
But ya gotta admire the average cheeseheads dedication...at least the Pack has hope for the future...they got that one guy

I think that ranking is completely fair. Until we have seen the expected steps forward from Monti’s draftclasses, this is the right range IMO
Yeah, it's probably fair. The great thing is we are so young we have a lot of possible upside.

Yeah. I hope/expect this to be higher by the end of the season, but until we see it on the field, this is fair IMO.

Too funny. I see you are insecure about your team. That's fine. We will only go $4,000 for the wager. No worries about you being too broke to pay your debts. You just f'd up kiddo, you just guaranteed the Cardinals are winning in week 7. Thank your for that, you can pay me through Zelle. We will coordinate that a bit later.

I actually came to this thread to compare and contrast 2 good rosters. You never saw or read me disrespect the Cardinals. I see now the type of fan base this is. When they have nothing, they start slinging feces at the wall. Insecurity, jealousy, & butthurt is ALL that is.

See you in week 7.
Enjoy it, I KNOW I WILL!

Start with Punter.
Daniel Whelan has been in Green Bay/NFL for 2 seasons now.

Punts: 113
Punt yardage: 5,216
Punt average: 46.2
Inside 20: 40
Longest Punt: 74

6'5" 218 with a huge leg.

Punting in Green Bay and Chicago etc...is a lot more difficult than out west. Daniel Whelan has been a fantastic punter in Green Bay. Great holder as well for Brandon McManus.

I don't know a ton about the Cards punter, Blake Gillikin. But you seem to think he is amazing since you chose to start the roster conversation with him. It's hard to discuss Blake because he only appeared in 13 games in 2023, and 13 in 2024. Missed games with a injury last year. A punter that gets injured is a definite red flag, for starters.

The numbers I have him for him the last 2 seasons, which is how long he has been in Arizona. Again, did not appear in 8 games over those 2 years. To evaluate a punter who does not appear in 4 games every year is very strange.

Punts: 89
Punt yardage: 4,467
To get an accurate punt average I had to combine some of his time in NO, because of the 8 games missed in Arizona.
Punt Average: 47.2
Inside 20: 30
Longest Punt: 77

6'2" 196

Two punters with big legs. One punts in Green Bay and the other in Arizona. I think those who evaluate NFL special teams players know which roster gets the nod for having the more valuable punter.

What's the next roster evaluation you want? Long Snapper? Let's do this, since you are very afraid, and want to play games trying to find players that will make the Cardinals roster look better, let's just go down the normal list of position groups.

I have to be at lunch on the water with my lovely wife shortly. Will pick this up at another time. Probably after a busy weekend.

Nice try, you think I am going to do all the work on this comparison of rosters, then when hit with facts you will just lie and say your players are better like you did with punter?

I may do a comparison of the two rosters, but it isn't going to be with you.

lol. Our punter has a better average, a longer longest punt and minimally trails your yours in terms of percent of points downed within the 20 and your claim is to have the better punter?

Personally I think this is a stupid exercise, but you’re not even starting off with any semblance of credibility.

Btw, in case you’re not clued in . . . I’m pretty sure oak is messing with you starting with the punter.

Cool bruh, actually the Cardinals are just the "bestest team and roster ever!" That is why they haven't been to the playoffs since 2021.

Seems more that you are unable to objectively evaluate the Packers when past performance is you argumentation.

As far as I can see the discussion it’s about this year’s roster. A complete tear down of the roster resulting in a horrible roster and missing your franchise QB for half of two seasons has nothing to do with this year’s roster.

This was a mid team last year and there are so many young talented players on the team. We have to see it on the field in real games, but right now this team has the trajectory of being a better roster than the Packers. I would take the Cardinals in most position group comparisons - OL, ILB and QB would be the only ones where I would take the Packers.

Just typing that you think the Cardinals roster is "better" than the Packers does not make it true.

And you are correct, the ACTUAL TRUTH will be shown on the grass this season.

Luckily enough these 2 rosters meet October 19th.

I can't wait to see this apparently vaunted Cardinals team against the Pack. Will be quite enjoyable, to say the least!

The Pack has bigger fish to fry first though. The focus is Detroit week 1. One game at a time.

Actual contenders don't just type about how much "better" their roster is than others, actual contenders show it on the grass.

Enjoy the season, see you in October.

True.

But I can argue my opinion for every single position group if you wish.

But really no point when your argumentation is irrelevant to the strength of the rosters this season

The purpose of comparing rosters is not to "argue" with no basis in fact or reality. Your friend Oak wanted to start the roster comparison with punter, because he thought the Cards punter was "better" than the Packers punter. When faced with facts and reality, he just lied and claimed Gillikin is "superior." I could barely even compare the 2 punters because Gillikin missed 8 games in 2 years. Without even diving into other things, no one wants a punter who is not available for even one game. Both Whelan and Gillikin have big legs and good stats. Anyone with any football knowledge at all would rate Daniel Whelan as the more valuable punter to a roster, because he can punt anywhere and be successful. Green Bay is not an easy place to punt.

If you and I were to compare Josh Jacobs and James Conner, you would claim James Conner is the "better" and more valuable RB. Nothing about your "argument" for James would be based in fact or reality. ONLY based in your bias towards James. Josh is 3 years younger, more yards, quality rusher, receiver, & blocker. Josh clearly the overall "better" and more valuable RB to a roster. No one outside of your zip code would say Josh Jacobs isn't the more valuable RB to a roster.

Not doing this roster comparison with you, Oak, or any Cards fan here..

As I said in my previous post, the TRUTH will be told on the grass. See you in October! The end.

I couldn't care less about what you "expect" about anything. Thanks for the laugh though, too funny!

I will definitely being stopping here after the game to collect my 4K from the Cards fan that GUARANTEED the Cards will win. He will pay me through Zelle. Good times.

I don't make guarantees, but I love our chances.

Enjoy the game, I know I will!
