the more i thought about it - the more i thought dattass would take nolen to pair with parsons - and we would take booker

nobody knows of course but i think the cowboys may have set us on a different course - would monti have gone nolen over booker had they both been available?

doesn't matter much now - but we do play the cowboys in dattass this year - if nolen ends up getting a sack on booker im gonna be one happy hippie

The Cowboys have always been at their best with a star at guard, and Zach Martin just retired. We're very fortunate that the Cowboys have such a high value on the position.

It does make sense for them considering their division. They need someone who can potentially block Jalen Carter, Dexter Lawrence and Jer'Zhan Newton.

Same thing in AZ. Back in the day, every old man in AZ was wearing a shirt with the sleeves cut off, shorts, flip flops, dirty ball cap, long hair and scraggly beard or grizzly 5 o'clock shadow. Seemed like the AZ uniform.

Hey maaaan......
Other than the cap and long hair, I was starting to feel personally attacked...

Man I love Nolen's combination of Power and Quickness. He can really jolt OL off their feet! However he isn't just a power guy.

Here is a nice pre-draft analysis from some Bucs fans. There is the play against Wake Forrest where he launches the Guard backwards through the air. He does something similar against fellow first rounder Will Campbell. Then there is also the quickness and athleticism he has as a big guy:

idk - starting to think a lot of the knocks on nolen came/started from the texas a&m camp - far as i can tell nolen was following a coach to ole miss that was making him a better player and he's expressed it was a tough decision - nolen said he was glad the cardinals were upfront and asked him directly about the character concerns but i legit think he was following the coach - which totally worked

I think that move was only a part of the reason. Didn’t he change high schools every year too?

I think a lot of it comes from that and he and his family were pretty up front about money. He worked the NIL system. But he had the talent and did nothing illegal.

Fact: He is rated as the all time highest recruit ever at A&M. Number two? Myles Garrett.

Wow. That’s an interesting fact!

The report that Howie Roseman was willing to trade up to the early 30s for him alleviates most of my concern.
That doesn't mean he will be a pro bowler in year one -- just rookie DPOY. :)

For a GM and HC that values athletic scores so high, I actually doubt Booker was the target
