i would highly recommend watching the PHNX video with Kyler -- he talks for a good 30 minutes and covers all sorts of topics

probably deserves its own thread

murray ran a lot less and it hurt us - petzing wants him to stay in the pocket - murray tried but there was some growing pains you don't expect to see from a #1 draft pick/6 year vet

sounds like the majority here believes this is kyler's last chance - doesn't need to make it to the superbowl - just the dance - im rooting for the guy - he's going to be on the field more with the defense we're putting together - but this is it man
Our former OL coach, now Cowboys OC, said that Kyler "never really wanted to run" despite it working. That there would be some weeks Kyler would specifically go into the game saying he wasn't feeling running this week.

I know one reporter questioned Kyler why he ran less later in the season and Kylers response was I guess I'm usually banged up later in the year.

I think the lack of running is less Petzing and more Kyler has durability problems.

Kyler has explained that he wasn't completely confident in his health after the long rehab and felt tweaks occasionally. It may have been more psychological than real, and he implies as such. That said - I saw an interview yesterday where he states he feels 100% and that running will be very much part of the game plan this season.

Do you have a source for this?

That explains it. Yeah if he feels a tweak in the repaired knee that changes things.

That's the best case scenario, certainly, but at least sounds logical/believable.

Last year Murray wasn't deaking opposing defenders like he did prior to the knee injury, but is what makes him super-duper dangerous running through the middle of the field.

Bottom line is that to live up to his MVP-potential, he's got to unleash his running attack.

Either he's durable enough to carry the ball 100 times a year in the NFL or he's not. We need to find out one way or the other.

It would be a mistake to extend KM, as some posters have suggested. Six years in and the results have been mediocre at best. 2nd half of the season performance can only be characterized as dreadful. Per an earlier poster, we'll continue to see the KM "Wheel of Excuses" this season if the Cards get off to a slow start and then hear that huge sucking sound around Thanksgiving that lasts the rest of the season.

Let's shoot for winning a clinching game before we even talk about the playoffs, let alone the SB, eh Kyler?
“I haven’t even scratched the surface of what I’m capable of…” yeesh. Kyler needs to let his play do his talking on the field because everything he says off it makes Kyler look like a joke.

the year is 2027

this thread is still going - we're still divided - probably two playoff losses - that'd be perfect lol giving both the murray crowd and the move on from murray crowd just enough to keep up the good fight
