Kupp signed with the Seahawks. I hope y’all kupp haters were right about him. Personally I was really hoping he would leave the nfc west
Good skip on Kupp. Great football IQ, but not getting open as much anymore, slower, expensive.

Listening to Daniel Jerimiah and Greg Rosenthal’s podcast. DJ mentioned that G Fries had bigger offers, but they came with request to do a physical. He said Patriots and another team requested.

If Fries really signed with the team, that didn't request a physical, then I have ZERO problem seeing Monti failing to sign him.

(Fries is coming of season ending injury - fractured fibula)

Speculation of course.

Thanks.

Who plays LG then?
Same as finished the season. Evan Brown.

I’m guessing there is a plan to bring WH back. But he probably cannot pass a physical until closer to TC and he wants to return.

The further roster spots and depth chart depends on the draft

Of the guys still out there Diggs is the one I'd most like to take a shot on. If he can be had for Kupp like money. I haven't seen any drop off in his game and he was having a good year until his injury.

One year, $15m base with incentives.

head cases don’t fit here. Throw in recent history with injuries and I come up with a no.

Disagree. He has struggled the most in offenses when he is not getting targets and the ball. The low volume Cards passing offense is not a great environment for that.

We don't have a low volume passing offense. Kyler was 9th in passing attempts last year. More than Stroud, Stafford, Allen and most other QB's.

This is a very bad take. The Cards were 21st in passing attempts in 2024. Seven of the 11 teams below them were playoff teams (likely running at the end of games because they're up big).

Is the low volume a reflection of the build of the offense, the quality of the QB, the quality of the receivers, or some combination of all of this?

People are oddly ok with our current receiver group considering we had really 1 reliable target all season. Maybe MHJ becomes that guy, but again you're hoping vs. adding another downfield talent that can open things up for MHJ/McBride in the middle of the field.

AZ was 27th in 11 personnel usage in 2024 at 50.4% of snaps. AZ ran 12 or 13 personnel 43.7% of the time. That is down from the 63.6% they ran 11 personnel in 2023.

So, with a better WR core in 2024, they ran 11 personnel less. Maybe a better WR would decrease the % of 13 personnel but I doubt they get away from 12 personnel too much as they invested a 3rd round pick in a TE.

So, low volume in pass attempts and low usage (in relation to the league) in usage of 3+ WRs. Doesn't seem like a huge priority unless a great fit appears (big, vertical speed WR)

I think WR is still a pretty big need. If this was a better WR class, I would be advocating taking one @16, but it's one of those classes where I doubt a good enough WRil is available @ 16.

Egbuka or Golden are possibilities.

True, but sad… why do we always have to have an attempting to be trendsetting offense?

Historically - teams have mirrored what has had recent success.

Our model, now under the last 2 regimes seems to think we are smarter than everyone else.

Lastly - I fully believe the NFL doesn’t want teams to succeed this way. It’s absolutely boring football in this era.
