I'm curious to know what Monti looks for/at when he attends practice. Is he watching a specific player or 'group' or just getting a feel on how the practices are being run?

Probably Rallis and RG trying to "get your best eleven on the field".

I have to admit I'm skeptical though. Could lead to two or even three guys playing out of position and not just one.

Still, got to give the new staff a chance.

IIRC, most, if not all, of Simmons' big/splash plays seem to be when he's playing off the ball and watching things develop....then he closes for the big hit and fumble or the int. Maybe Gannon and Rallis want to play him deep to see if he can be consistent at it. We already know having him anywhere near the LOS, trying to react and cover, is bad news.
