I kind of wish they would have just struck a deal with Big Mac instead of taking it to arb. Sometimes that leaves a bad taste in the players mouth that could hurt us down the road with him. I wouldn't mind a slight overpay for a player that checks all the boxes on needs for the team. That and we all know how fun it is to keep making McBain jokes and memes, right @Ronin ?

Good opportunity for the kid. Sounds like he had some injury problems last year (concussion), so that explains the 2-way contract. Hopefully he stays healthy enough to get some real NHL minutes with the big club.

Very strange indeed. I'm sure more will come out. I have great faith in the Canadian media to dig into any questionable moves by the desert dogs and make sure to insert yet another reason hockey won't work here.

Police report: Galchenyuk threatened to kill cops

Alex Galchenyuk repeatedly used racial slurs toward a police officer in training and threatened to have two officers killed during a traffic stop last weekend, police said in a report, actions that led the Arizona Coyotes to terminate his contract.

This is sad. The threats in this reporting sound like some stereotyped movie plot. I imagine he's really embarrassed once he sobered up.
