I was always calling BS in the old days, because at midnight, teams would show up with a contract and supposedly knock on a guys door, and him and his agent are magically 100% in agreement with that contract, and boom, guy signs a new deal at midnight! All with "no contact" until midnight. LOL!

The Suns are probably the reason the times are designated because of the Tom Chambers signing.

I had a theoretical question anyway. Couldn't we do a Joe Harris type trade? The way I read it, the team receiving Johnson is essentially just taking on his contract and getting two second rounders for doing it. Since we are so far over the taxes, and Ishbia seems fine with paying that money, could we not do this type of trade?

Trades have to match salary wise unless the team trading for the player has cap space to accommodate the contract.

No, the Pistons are able to do that because they have cap space to absorb his contract. Either you need to match salaries with outgoing players or have the space to absorb it into cap space, like a FA signing.

Love shot 33.5% from 3 last year.
Okogie shot 33.5% from 3 last year.

Okogie just bricked what are horse shots so many times. I just looked it up and Love was a 40.1% open 3 compared to 38.6% for Okogie.

Beal is a 46% shooter in that situation which is nice. Right next to Frank the Tank, who we never should have cut.

Agreed, all three would be very nice additions. They are all somewhat efficient.

This is why Point Book works so well because he shoots at his best in tight coverage and high pressure

Just want to be the Debby Downer and point out that the 50% number is on a whopping 4 attempts all of last season. The 2-4' number is probably more representative of his pull up threes than the 0-2' number.

I mean LeBron isn't a great 3 point shooter and he is one of the all time greats. Booker is still an extremely efficient scorer despite his somewhat average 3 point shooting.

Its the only part of his game he needs to work on. His form is too great to not be a better shooter.
