We had the 8th ranked pass defense last year and upgraded from Alford to Mullen. How has it dropped 24 places?
Mullen? Doesn’t look like he’s playing. How is that an upgrade? Lol. When you allow 4.6 yards per carry it certainly allows offenses to throw less.

I'll say you were right.

The difference is, I haven't made anyone listen through endless streams of negativity and anti Cardinal rhetoric all off season.

This isn't about saying "I don't think we are good this year because X,Y and Z". This is about people **** posting every little that happens around this team. Literally everything.
I'll give you this: you are hard-core in the Pollyanna camp and have unswervingly lived there the whole offseason. You are consistent, sir :)

We're not talking about this week are we. We're talking about the secondary as a whole, which you said was "possibly the weakest in the league".

What's the point of being a fan, if you just torture yourself with constant invented negativity? Because it is invented. You have the choice to look at the positives, about what might be possible, because nobody knows in football. It's certainly not "best roster wins".

If we suck (which I doubt) I already have to live through all that suck for 4 months. In the offseason I have a choice, and I chose not to be miserable. More people should do the same.

Well we certainly aren’t talking about week 16. My view of this team is all about the players that are in place today AND perhaps tomorrow.
I refuse to evaluate this team on potential or conjecture.
Maybe Dortch is the next Tyrell Hill. Playing against 2nd and 3rd string players means nothing.
Maybe Mullens will be great, but all we have is hope.
Maybe Gardeck will get 15 sacks this year.
And as “deep” as this team is maybe we won’t have any injuries.
Feel free to hang you hat on hope and potential. I’ve been on that side of the street many times. Im not going back there.
I’m not putting you down for your optimism. So please respect my ( our) opinions based more on “ what have you proven to this point” rather than “ could be or maybe’s”.

Realist and miserable are not the same. So your positivity isn’t invented but our doubt is?

Stout I know you WANT to be wrong as I do. I don’t understand why some people feel we are crazy based on our evaluations.

Because you don't need to say it 7x a thread? This isn't about opinions, it's about the constant snarky put downs of this franchise.

Gonna make it more pleasant round here and start putting more people on ignore. I already have a few that do nothing but neg this org.

There are others that used to be more balanced but now do nothing but **** post the team.

Lol! You annoy the hell out of me with your kool-aid over the rainbow outlook but I would never put you on ignore. I love the banter and your opinions or post are not going to ruin my day or make me miserable.
Look, we sucked the last 1/2 of the season. Many say “ Well we lost Hopkins”. Well, we are without Hopkins amongst others. Now Moore is out and many were proclaiming the great things he was going to add to this offense. Now he’s out and those same people claim no big deal, we got Dortch.
I don’t think we are going to get the first pick in the draft bad but I also don’t believe we make the playoffs.

Do the Cardinals really draft & sign injury prone players more than other teams? Or is this something that every team's fans think whenever someone gets hurt?

@K9 & others are fond of pointing out how "obvious" it was that some player would be injured... But has anyone actually analyzed how the injury history of the players Keim brings in compare to those of other teams' players?

Based on this, the Cards have lost fewer man-games to injury than 2/3 of the league's teams:

So does Keim now deserve praise for bringing in players who are LESS prone to injury than the average GM's aquisitions? Or does the whole meme now get discredited?

Can't have it both ways.

Edited to add: here are the 2021-only numbers. Cards are right in the middle.

Well, you've convinced me that playing on natural grass is the biggest factor in staying healthy!

Look at who we pick up:

2022
Ertz - injury prone
Conner - injury prone
AJ Green - injury prone
Gardeck - injury prone
Maxx - injury prone
Mullen - injury prone

2021
JJ Watt - injury prone
AJ Green - Injury prone
Malcolm Butler - quit

Our biggest problem is Keim is terrible at drafting, which forces us to overpay in FA, usually for players that are older and injury prone.
