You’ve posted that people are chicken littles a million times bc they are concerned we haven’t replaced lost free agents and offseason isn’t over yet (in other words they may be replaced by some as yet unknown). They aren’t replaced. So why are people chicken littles?

I didn't bother mentioning Jordan Philips, because it's Jordan Philips. If people want to pretend his production isn't instantly replaceable I'm not the one being delusional.

Production is production, regardless of how over-the-hill the player had become, and pass rush is arguably the most important component on defense. We don't have an adequate pass rush, and have to hope Keim is good enough to pick one, the talent is available in the draft, and Joseph is good enough to develop him. That's the best plan we're looking at. To say it's "chicken little" or "histrionics" to be concerned with that plan is just plain condescending and baiting other posters. What's worse? To be worried about what the team is doing, based upon football decisions or lack thereof, or arrogantly name-calling other posters?

Chandlers 5.5 will easily be replaced by Gardeck and Kennard. Although I expect they will add more there yet.

Collins will replace Hicks production.

And Philips whopping 3 sacks production will be replaced by Lawrence, Fotu, Allen and if Watt stays healthy Watt will replace it and more all by himself.

LOL. Where have I ever said I'm ok with losing any of those players? Where? You make the claim that I am, back it up.

There is a difference in understanding there is still time and players available and being ok with losing those players. I am not ok with it, but there is still lots of time left.

Remember last offseason the conniption fit many were throwing over the corner back corps? Even with Malcolm Butler retiring, the Cardinals were fine at CB.

I advocate letting the process play out. Don't make dumb moves like trading for Parker or relying on Will Fuller.

I call a duck a duck man. I've seen this same song and dance about every issue every offseason. Like I said in another thread, half the board was freaking out over the corner back group last offseason. There were those of us who were not freaking out because we said that 1) the depth was good enough 2) Keim has a penchant for veteran signings that pay off. Literally both of those things came true, even with the retirement of Malcolm Butler.

From what it looks like the Cardinals think this:

1) Last seasons swoon was a function of inopportune injuries. As the Football Outsiders rankings demonstrate, the Cardinals weren't a very healthy team last year. Injuries tend to fluctuate from year to year.

2) They can save some money and future cap flexibility by NOT signing high priced free agents and can go after the second and third wave of free agency where the real bargains are at. We've seen ample evidence that despite Keim's failings at other areas of player procurement, he excels at finding players during the later stages of free agency. I'd expect the team to chase a veteran WR, EDGE, DL.

I never expected nor wanted the Cardinals to go out and get a Wr like Williams, Robinson or Adams.
However I thought there were 3 or 4 second tier Wr we could of had. Not going to bother with names because I know the response by a few. But they were all young, fast and could off helped turn our Wr into a strength.
Even if we draft a Wr we are going to have to depend on overnight success. We are hoping Moore suddenly replaces Kirk.
Mark my word we are going to end up with Green or Jones or worse hoping to capture 1 more year.
We really should be thinking a 1A Wr.

Injuries should never be an excuse in the NFL period. They are a feature of the game, not a bug.

Furthermore, when you have a veteran team, you're taking a bigger chance with getting injuries.

And neither won the Super Bowl. It also matter WHO gets hurt as well.
