NBA Draft 7-29-2021: Suns select?

I really like Shai and wish there was a way we could get him. I know its an unpopular opinion but I'd offer Ayton for him, especially if Paul bolts. I don't see Paul leaving and I know the Suns wouldn't do that deal so its just a pipe dream that I know someone here will take exception to but Shai is legit. I can see him as a future All-NBA guard within 2-3 years.

Suns can't do that trade unless they get something else and you may remember how much I like Shai.

I like SGA too but no way would I trade Ayton for anyone other than a quality big man. And there are very few of them that I would consider.

You can't trade a legit big man for a guard. No way. It's much easier to find a legit guard in the draft than a legit big man unless you are drafting at the top of the lottery.

This seems like highway robbery. Not that Shamet is a barn burner but he can contribute RIGHT NOW. He is a better shooter than Carter. Unlike Carter Shamet should compete right away for minutes IMO. He can handle the basketball and played backup PG at times. This also tells me the Suns might not be looking guard at all either in the draft or 2nd trade.

A UDFA can be put on a two way contract and not take up the roster spot.

As you know UDFAs can make teams. See the Miami Heat.

Ty-Shon Alexander only cost the Suns $449,115 last season.

Nobody is saying could not. People are saying it's highly unlikely.
