I hear you there. My University of Kentucky season tickets renewal fee came due today in fact. $1340 later, they're paid. If there's no season, they had better put the money back in my account lol. UK also announced today that they plan on opening the campus back up for students in August. We shall see?
You must have never had a sweat at 2:30am on the east coast hoping Hawaii covers and hits the over to make up for what you lost since noon that day. To be a little more honest normally the best non SEC game of the week is played at 7 or 8pm. The lead in to that is normally the best game in country at 3:30 on CBS which is the SEC game of the week. Nothing beats college football on from noon to 3am.
Big difference is the campus. If school is not back in the fall you are not going to be able to have practices.
It's the greatest. On my end nothing beats having some breakfast at 9am, and watching some B1G football and hoping Purdue can beat the spread.
Yes sir. Like young players thinking they're invincible & can't catch the virus because of being young. Living their lives recklessly & doing nothing to protect themselves from catching it. I'm just ready for this $#!+ to end & football to start.
I sure hope you're right? Yes, it won't be the same without fans there but it will still be football & having that much is better than nothing. We all have big flat screen tvs to watch so that will have to be enough. A German company is working for the US pharmaceutical company Pfizer on a new drug right now (BNT162). The article said that Pfizer will begin testing the experimental vaccine on patients in the U.S as early as next week. They hope it will be ready by the fall? They also said they could have enough made to treat 300 million people by the end of 2020. Oxford University is also working on a new drug. There's another drug I read about from the "Chicago Tribune" called remdesivir that has been working on keeping patients from getting full blown covid-19. So it looks promising sort of. Let's keep our fingers crossed & stay safe.
Half joking, half serious, sports gaming wasn't legal in your area until recently, so it shouldn't count for keeping those games on Saturday. Living in Vegas, I know too many people sweating that kind of nonsense all the time...
That’s what makes the regular season so beautiful.
Within the past 5 years I’ve grown to enjoy watching college football more than pro. Living in the northeast I don’t have a dog in the college football fight I just enjoy it on the whole. The blowouts are not the norm and most times the bigger games of the week are close. Since the playoff the 1 loss doesn’t kill your season if it’s a good loss.
Possible false comparison - A truer measure of financial health might be "net revenue" (after expenses). I'm guessing that physical stadium expenses are much higher than digital broadcast expenses and expenses from seats, food etc. may be a higher percent of total revenue.
