Just want to start this discussion in a fresh thread. We have a roster need, we have to fill it somehow.
Draft
Darius Garland
Coby White
These two are the only pg's in the draft that are potential starters, and even then, they are not likely starters.
Trade
Jrue Holliday. He is likely available. It will take a lot to trade for him, but we could get him.
Lonzo Ball. Looks like the Lakers are considering pg's in the draft. I think they are moving on from him.
Mike Conley. With Ja on board, the Grizz will likely move him if they can. He has a huge contract and is an old 31.
Reggie Jackson might be on the trade block, but I do not see him as any real answer
Free Agency
I don't think Kyrie, Kemba, Brogdon or Russell are obtainable--Kyrie and Kemba because they will want contenders or stay home with a big pay off and the other two because they are restricted and any offer will matched.
Dragic. We could get him, but his game is in decline. After we fired Igor, he might not come.
Derrick Rose. We could sign him. It should not be excessive with his injury history.
Elfrid Payton. We could sign him, but I think the Pels will keep him.
Patrick Beverly. Obtainable but too old for our core IMO.
Darren Collison. Maybe. I think the Pacers will try to keep him with the loss of Tyreke.
Rondo. Just no.
Rubio. Not enough of an offensive threat. Loved Igor. Do not see a chance now.
TJ McConnell. Could probably get him. I do not see his overall impact any greater than Tyler. Same with Lin, Cory Joseph, Teague and Mudiay.
Ish Smith might actually be an interesting choice. He is a good player.
Can anyone else think of any other realistic options?
