3 seven round picks should get us a early jump on UDFA's.

Comp picks can now also be traded if the Cards want to make any moves before or during the draft.

Guarantee Arizona will be trading up at some point in this draft. Someone on Keim’s 120 board will drop

Last 7th round pick to even make the team was.....
There' shots in the dark and there's shooting in the dark. 99% of 7th round picks don't even make the final roster.

Someone remind me. The last time the team had a bunch of picks, after being awarded compensatory picks, didn't they put together some package deals? Maybe I am remembering wrong or thinking of a different team.

Uhh - Korey Cunningham, last year?

Nate Potter, Jim Dray, Brandon Keith, Mark Smith, Pat FREAKING Tillman?

We've actually had some solid success in the 7th round over the years.

Have as much of a chance as as UDFA and a few have made our final roster, year in and out.

We can afford to use those extra #7 picks to roll dice on short QB's, linemen with injury histories, pass rushers with off the field isues etc. as the opportunities present themselves.

Good chance to draft some guys to develop Maxx Crosby OLB-DE (east Michigan) pass rusher needs weight room work.A CB to develop etc.Should be several players worth investing some time and money to develop for late this coming season and the future.Scouts need to be doing lots of checking and maybe find a overlooked talent.

Gerald Christian as well.

To be fair, he never actually made the team. He was injured in the final preseason game when he was a rookie and was on IR for the year. He was released the following offseason.

They signed him again in 2017 but waived him before the season started

The Rams getting a 3rd for Sammy Watkins is a bunch of bull considering he only played there for one year and they ended up getting Brandin Cooks to replace him.
That is the benefit of trading for guys with one year left of their rookie deals
