1) I’m not sure that there are “retarted” people, let alone anyone who was “tarted” in the first place.
2) The answer is simple. She’s trash. Just like him.

I don’t think we should get into the whole “why doesn’t the abused simply leave?” stuff. It’s much more complicated than that...

I’d venture to say Foster made her recant. Abusers typically hold a high level of psychological control over their victims.
