Move back to a 3-4

Free agency targets: Tyler Eifert, TE, Donte Moncrief, WR, Quincy Enunwa, WR, Seantrel Henderson, OT, KJ Wright, OLB.

Draft targets: Bosa, Williams, or Oliver in the 1st. (Giants have to take a QB)
Kaleb McGary OL, Michael Jackson, CB, Chase Winovich ILB in the 2nd
Garrett Brumfield, OG, Ross Pierschbacher OG, Ahmmon Richards WR in 3rd.

Ideally trade down just a couple spots to grab more picks.

Finally, put Bucannon back to his natural and successful position as a powerhouse SS. Budda at FS. He's able to cover, tackle, and run. He's a natural 215 lbs.
He was 1st team all American at the position in college. ********* tried to make him an inside linebacker of all things, and pat themselves on the back for their originality. He ain't no Ray Lewis, but he could look a lot like Adrian Wilson. Meanwhile the flapping lips around town are talking about trading him away because they can't seem to find a spot for him in this stellar defense. :bang:

Golden/Nkdemiche/Williams/XX /Jones at the line,
Reddick/Winovich/OLB as linebackers
Baker/Peterson/Bucannon/CB as the secondary looks like a top 5 defense to me, spend the rest of your offseason capital building the offense.

Moving forward, on offense, you'd keep DJ, Kirk, Rosen, Hump, Cole, Edmonds, and hopefully Fitz. The rest need upgrading, or relegation to depth spots.

I'd recognize my mistake and fire wilkes. Bring Betcher back. Use fa to add to the online, line backers and wr core. Draft best available in rd 1 , add a stud TE in rd 2 .

Clean sweep.

Tap into the old Rolodex and reach out to folks you respect for their thoughts re execs and coaches worth hiring and the process for doing so.

Hire the new GM first and let him/her lead the search team for remaing staff and coaches. Part of the search and hiring process should be a plan for positioning and structuring the process along a viable path of oward success.

Player-talent wise - Overbuild the OL and keep it that way. Determine what you want the team to be like when it grows. up (i.e. mistake-free, riverboat gambler, smashmouth rather than tricky, big & physical, smaller but faster etc). - & then develop a mini-plan for filling roster spots needed to fill out the visualized team

I guess it would be OK to base your vision of the built-out team on the existing talent/contract status etc already on your roster (Saves time). But my gut tells we should play it straight and plan from ground zero and then keep only those players who fit the plan.

No mocks. Too early. Too iffy.

- convince Bidwill on spending big on swing for the fences hire, no more inexperienced coordinator hires
- Look into HC replacements: Lincoln Riley or Dabo Swinney
- Plan B HC - Todd Bowles

I would attempt to fix roster with this mock (Fan Speak Simulator) which has us with 10 picks:
5: DT ED OLIVER HOUSTON

37: WR NKEAL HARRY ARIZONA STATE

68: CB KENDALL SHEFFIELD OHIO STATE

106: LB TJ EDWARDS WISCONSIN

144: OT MAX SHARPING NORTHERN ILLINOIS

178: G LESTER COTTON ALABAMA

213: WR GARY JENNINGS WVU

216: CB JORDAN MILLER WASHINGTON

221: DL KINGSLEY KEKE TEXAS A&M

253: LB CHRISTIAN MILLER ALABAMA

FA: RT Ja'Wuan James; LG Roger Saffold; DT Sheldon Richardson; NT Danny Shelton; ILB Avery Williamson

Biggest expenditures will be paying Wilks remainder of salary and hiring big name coach.

Why Bowles as HC for any plan?

Hire someone more knowledgeable about this kind of thing than me, and hire them with the rule they can only draft one small school player per draft and only after the 3rd round.

And I would hire Selma Hayek to be the assistant to the traveling secretary for the GM position.

I would see if Jimmy Johnson would be interested in a GM role or helping with the draft and free agency.

I retract Bowles and replace him with John Harbaugh if he gets canned this year. There aren't many candidates that excite me from the pro ranks. I think ARZ needs to land an elite college guy like Riley, Swinney, Chris Peterson or David Shaw.

Here are some of the possible coaching candidates this offseason but guys like DeFilippo, Schwartz, Turner don't excite me.
