Mainstreet, can you clarify for me when you say only Sarver can fix the Suns problems, but they are much deeper than the next draft pick? I've got two or three things going around in my head about what you might mean, but...?
I sort of said it in my previous post. The Suns need to invest substantial money to change the Suns image and expertise by hiring proven personnel to fill the general manager, head coach and scouting positions. Unfortunately I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon.
It seems like the Suns are hiring personnel that are always new to their job. The self perpetuating cycle needs to end. The Suns need to be able to attract top free agents to the team but it is a hard sell. Who wants to come to a team to lose. Building a team by draft picks is difficult. If the Suns miss on a player in the next draft, what then.
My advice to Sarver would be sell the team or bring someone on board to run the franchise. The present arrangement is not working.
